I'd like to think Morrowind isn't revolutionary ... Its evolutionary of games like Ultima IV (and Daggerfall, and Arena, and ...) Morrowind is same gameplay (+some evolution) with better graphics. On the other hand, games like Elemental:War of Magic, Civilization V, and Motion Sensor games are revolutionary. Most of the time you just need Originality and Improvements upon the existing ... revolutionary is mak

[quote who="rwemack" reply="141" id="3087496"]Ok, the best way to fix this is to change the objective of fight. You can win by killing off all the enemy, or taking away their control point. Each map will have two control points. There is one for each side. They are located on opposite sides of the map, behind where each army starts. If the opposing army sits in your control point uncontested* for 3 turns, then you lose. It could either be an

It really should be a flat rate, if they actually wanted to encourage energy conservation. The current system in place is just to normalize revenue ... which DISCOURAGES energy conservation. and yet they want to market it as if it ENCOURAGED conservation ... fucking marketing

Hmm. So either a bug is causing them not to show up ... or maybe the devs decided to keep Random Events 'turned off' because they weren't ready yet?

I personally find square-maps more aesthetically pleasing, yet I admit Hex maps tend to create more 'realistic' tactical battles. In any case, I would love it if (as in Dragon Age Origins) a Hero or Champion could switch between 2 sets of weapons during battle (maybe at the cost of half your initiative?) You would designate your 'primary set' and 'secondary set' outside of battle -> likely in the Equip Screen

Being a browser based game, it makes sense that it didn't need a publisher.

Nah, I think you are right about Gal Civ III being evolutionary. The Elemental revolution is enough revolution for 5 years I think ;)

I agree that FE is what I expected E:WoM 1.01 to be. I think its what a lot of people thought E:WoM 1.01 would be.

I don't think Champs need any more XP to level up ... because of the split-champ-exp model. Otherwise you might nerf champions into non-existence (and we will see more people crying to add Champions to units ... not that I would mind, mind you, but Warrior champs acting on their own would become obsolete)

Would the simplest solution then be to remove the 'research' effect from taxes? Have science be a constant, while production and gold are going back and forth? (assuming no gold from items of course) -> Perhaps we should reduce item value by half (both in COST and in SELL) -> And double the amount of taxes we get.

I've never run into dissapearing items myself ... how does it happen? I always give 'extra' items away from my Army leader to the other champions, so that there is space for new items coming in (just in case), but even so I've never seen it happen, so I'm not sure what causes it.

[quote who="Sythion" reply="12" id="3087342"] I don't want more buttons and stuff and thingies, so I'm kind of hesitant to agree that we should add one. MoM and FE are different games too. There are far more, far less awesome items in FE. In MoM I might have thought "This item NEEDS to go on my ranger" or whatever. In FE I'm like "Meh, that might be incrementally more useful than what he already had. I'll get it to him next time we meet." The instant need just

Interesting. Will it have limited ammo? (can't carry as many axes as arrows ...)

Personally I think traits are fine with any weapon ... as its improving the character itself Its just abilities (and special attacks) that would seem better connected to the weapon. Maybe could have 4 types of weapons for this purpose 'pole-arms' -> Spears and Staffs 'heavy melee' -> Axes and Swords 'Daggers' -> Daggers and 'Ranged' -> Bows

Also, can you make certain abilities only activated with a certain weapon type? (ie Sword, or Spear, or Axe, or Dagger) Or is it only Ranged vs Melee? Having certain warrior abilities tied to Axes or Swords, while certain assassin abilities tied to daggers, would be cool.

then tie ignore armor to abilities rather than traits ... the ability to make certain abilities (ie, a critical attack which ignores armor) which can affect armor in various ways can expand your 'can of worms' of abilities available to attach to paths. Better than traits even, I think. Is it possible?
