either in 1Z or yet to be determined. In 1G there weren't much values on anything :p

Selective Drafts would probably be more/most expensive, with high morale, and better soldiers on average (veteran soldiers are elite level, elite level are elite ++) Meanwhile blanket draft would be less expensive, with lower morale soldiers. Slave soldiers would be least morale, and on average weaker soldiers (veterans are like regulars, elites are like veterans, regulars are like greenhornes) ... Perhaps medium expenses yet MUCH faster to train, and also don't take from your
Possible Mod idea ... or simply an idea for the hidden "unlockable techs" that are as rare as they are niche. For Instance ... Necromancy is probably a fairly solid Magical tech. Summoning Bone Dragons is probably a High End unlockable from solving a rare quest. Just as rare, but more random, is the ability to summon Necromantic Versions of beasts ... like Zombie Spiders and Bone Trolls. This could perhaps result from using a combination of Co-Beast strategies with Necromancy
Well, all of Zelda's Hyrule from Ocarina of time, if I have the scale correct, could probably fit onto a 9 tile spread. Or rather, Hyrule's country side would be about a block of 9 tiles, and each land would be anywhere from 4-6 tiles (like Red Mountain, Zora's Domain, Hyrule, Deku's Forest, Deserts, ect) I could have mis-read it ... however I think that the tiles will be much more livlier, or at least cover more distance, than you might think. Also ... Roads and Imperial Road
Nothing is currently planned, and everything is currently prepared for. However I don't see any reason to separate ranged attack from Melee. A melee weapon can ONLY attack from direct contact and a ranged weapon can ONLY attack from indirect contact. In truth all ranged weapon's melee attack should be 1 because you are essentially just hitting your opponent with an un-optimized stick at that point .... unless your actually trying to draw your bow and fire. In which case I decided to call Yatz
Building a Super Huge city in an Arctic Wasteland is perfectly believable ... if it happened to be the intersection where all nations/cities did trade. An artic wasteland is essentially an eternally cold desert, a desert without sun. Some of the biggest Metropolis's have been out in the desert .... although I'll admit that most large cities had some sort of river nearby. Im fairly certain that a LARGE percentage of Rome's food (like 30-60%) came from the colonies along the out
My realtor relative approves of I-pad ... but then again she wasn't going to get a netbook anyways, its just a better middle ground for her than either her Blackberry or her Laptop. I have a feeling she was just looking at the screen-size though??
I like for good AI, on a similar level to the AI player ... but as we all know, an AI on equal level of a human would be annoying on "base" difficulty. I'd like for harder difficulty levels to be better "skill" ... and not just skill at running the game overall. Make some AIs really good at questing, some really good at magic, and others really good at empire building. And the higher you go on difficulty, they begin to Excell in their area of expertise, and make slight gains in the ot
War of the Bling?
... lol Does the fire elemental have the same stats as a troll? Does he have any flame powrs?
Yay for Magic: Total War ... before Magic Empire: Total War :p seriously though, I vastly approve of Auto-Only naval battles. 1) more focus on the land battles 2) Seas are random anyways :p
Well, you COULD pay the extra equipment cost to equip your archer with a melee weapon (which is perfectly viable, and probably the choice used most often with Archer-integrated armies) However, if your archer only has a Bow n Arrow, then I suggest that a ranged weapons melee attack is 20% its normal attack. Or something to that effect. Of course, champions using Bow n Arrow could have a workaround via feat, skill, or something, but the average trooper with a bow n arrow (if on
I still say that maces and hammers should be able to ignore armor in some way ... just from a weapon variation. But yes, Combined Arms being a mechanical interest in optimizing gameplay ... I like this more, even though I still think weapons should be diverse :P Honestly though, with the weapons currently available, I think the melee (sticks n bladed) seem to currently be of an interesting (enough) diversity.
I second the Idea. At least the main Journal Videos should be available in the Media section imho.
Additionally, magical gear like, say, a Cuirass of One Thousand Souls, should be able to be equipped. Honestly it would be kind of cool if all champion's gear was handled piecemeal and objectively rather than a one-time abstraction like normal soldiers ... or to allow for a re-equippage of the abstraction at least. The only problem I forsee is that your Sov has Magic Plate +1, and you want to equip Magic Plate +3. After you equip the +3 youll probably want that Plate +1 available for
Also, as some multi-part quests have the potential to be within one tile, or only a couple tiles, I don't see it as a problem to spend a long time travelling great distances for a quest (like Marco Polo).
I can see how 6 turns could equal 1 year, and yet all champions/significant people being naturally long lived ... perhaps because it is fantasy as well as a game. Honestly, its a huge change from the normal 1 turn per year, or even Total War's 2 turns per year. Honestly its hard for me to say how much I like the system, but it certainly contains lots of possibilities.
sometime in the next week
essence doesn't regenerate. Mana does. Usually I level up my Sovereign in one of two ways- HP or Essence I think its fitting that the Sov can increase these stats much faster than the basic stuff like attack and defense, however occasionally If I feel confident in my strategic position I will place a point in attack or defense or attack speed rather than HP or Essence, although about 80% of my levels put all points into one or the other. (wether I am magical/need spell
Gold Rigma, Silver Rigma, and Copper Rigma
@ Edwin, I don't think that such events need to always spiral out of control, but I would certainly love it if such things took place about 50% of the time. Of course, a band of Trolls or Giants could wander the forests of Example 1 and eat many of the spiders (if not all) but then become at least a temporary problem (much more dangerous woods until they migrate somewhere else, or even they attack your city next). In Example 2, the invading army could even offer you to aid in
I think he meant percentage of the GAMEPLAY of the polished, finished product. I would agree that currently 1G is about 10% of "the game" even if it has a large percentage of the Meat n Potatoes already in some place or form. For me to vote a yes at 1Z, @ 33%, all the basic components need to be present, and work together intuitively
probably. I doubt much feedback on 1G is helpful at this point. However we truly made a breakthrough by rederiving food as a Global resource (Net food is global). This one change is truly epic, and I am proud.
