I wouldn't mind if certain mountable resources only appear for certain factions ... or appear differently for different factions. For instance ... a "Snake Den" would be a monster lair for most factions ... and have to be destroyed/explored after killing the Cobras (well, or they could farm for experience, but still ... only way to get any gold/items is to loot the snake den). Meanwhile, a Certain Civ has natural peace with the snakes, and has Access to the tech "Snake Husband

See King Arthur ... they handled 1 turn per season well. If this was a more realistic Fantasy Battle Simulator or something (like a fantasy battle simulator) then perhaps 1 turn per month could suffice. But simply with all of the City Building and research elements, 1 turn per season or 1 turn per year would be more likely. Not that I would mind 1 turn per month ... although im not sure how the suspension of disbelief would play in, not to mention that rearing a child would take for b
Sure ... 4 attacks per turn, instead of one, yet the back 2 have a 50% penalty to attack simply due to the space-time restrictions, as well as one prain focusing on all 4 weapons, while it might only be a little smarter than a human.
Your unobtainium or Adamantium or Iron (as the case may be) is "currently" stored globally. If you only have ONE mine of Iron, then youll only have enough Iron to make one unit at a time, or store enough to make a party or a company, ect. Either way your production will be severely limited and the limiting reagent is NOT going to be some slow ass caravan, but its going to be how quickly your mine can stockpile the resource. Now ... sure, for some people, it would be ni
I had an in-depth post written up ... but suffice it to say that Villages can be some-what mechanically linked to your empire, and yet provide little to no direct benefit (independent parties). The "little benefit" could be each Village hut provides +1 global commerce ... however they would not be using *your* net food (but an extrapolation of your food) and may or may not be swayed by prestige. Essentially each player would have a (village pool) for village food. Its half the Player'
I like 1 turn = 1 season for the game play opportunities it could add. However, if there will be no difference in Seasons for the Vanilla release, then it might as well be 1 turn = 1 year. I'd only want them to slow down the timescale if it makes the game more fun from a gameplay/mechanics point of view ... and the way all the strategic elements to create that gameplay is up to them ... so only they can really see which timescale is best (in their internal build ... and if not this on
Maybe not expect to win against a "Well Armed" opponent ... however Well Armed also means high tech. I would fully expect an army of Dagger wielders to defeat an army of Staves and Clubs. (given the right conditions)
Scholar's Chambers could provide moderate science and moderate housing, while School provides large Science, and University provides massive science. Royal Academy could provide large science and moderate housing (or massive science and minimal housing) Meanwhile Houses provide moderate housing, Apartments Provide Massive Housing, Duplex's provide large housing, and Town Homes provide moderate housing and moderate prestige. "Slums" could provide gigantic housing levels ... however dra
And I would prefer a race themed with Samurai, Ronin, Yamabushi Monks, Ninja ... with the extra ability to train Snake-riders and "lesser" drake riders. Ninja could be ronin units equipped with Sealth gear and "Ninpo" training ... so they can sneak around, do fireball ninpo, and do flash ninpo where they stun the opponent and teleport backwards several squares. Being equipped with both a Katana (+combat speed) and a Shiruken (+combat speed) would work as well. Meanwhile, Ronin
I'd say two-daggers (fine), two swords: either Special Feat or Large Size (Ogre/Troll), two GreatSwords: Special Feat AND Large Size.
Shard control would indeed be an interesting way to determine wether you still have control over the creature or not. Then, instead of defending everything against the creature ... you could send half or more of your army to try and retake the shard (or something similar). Of course, dragons are different, but these rare extra-planar creatures ... or whatever ... or magical beasts (even if less powerful than a dragon) ... having such a system might prove fun. Of course, creati
A WWII mod ... with Magic and Steampunk involved. Think American giant Airships/Floating Castles, German Sky-Drakes, Russian Dragons, Nazi demons, Nazi zombies, British Super Spies, Italian Spider Machines (giant 8 legged carrier/weapons platform), and Japanese CyberNinjas.
Towns could be purely cosmetic Housing developments that appear along the major roadways (not benefitting any particular player) ... quests and shops can exist here for champions.
Bug. But probably no need to report until 1Z is released.
lol, current system is nowhere near micromanagement. I like building placement the way it is now. Of course, cities will be much more interesting once global food is implemented, and housing will become more meaningful/strategic.
agreed, 2 vs world, 3 vs world, and 5-8 controlled ffa ... are my preferred multiplay styles :)
Yes, I am also happy about the Pioneer unit. I wonder exactly how flexible upgradding Pioneer-based improvements will be, or if they automatically improve after the proper technology is researched (+ 8 turns of labor or whatever).
Nah, its just that this weekend will be my last free time for awhile, and I wanted to get some useful/workable testing done :(
Hmm, if your capital walls are turned to diamond (and it was that expensive and rare to get it) then I would expect that Diamond wall to have Turrets of Diamond Cannons, with regenerating diamond ammo, that shoot out super-heated Diamond Shards into your approaching opponents. You could have solid shot Diamond shards (long range, massive damage, small area), or hollow shot diamond shards (medium range, medium damage, massive area) ... and be either the ONLY or the BEST type of cannons/(wall d
Perhaps pikes can attack from the second row, have a bonus to attack = to the number of tiles spent to reach them (or approximate movement points used ... since hopefully we won't have "tiles"), and have a relatively large attack. Meanwhile Gladius style shortswords (2 ft, double edged, broad) should have a medium attack, only attack from 1st row in a formation, however have double or triple the Pikes combat speed modifier (can attack three times for each pike attack). Then a LongSwor
Possibilities include Fey (Spiritual Being/Part Spirit), Daemon, Half-Troll, Half Dragon (or someone w/ draconic blood), an Eldrich Abomination (perhaps if incidentally taking human form ... the result is, in effect, a massive mutation spell (of random traits and races) as well as a high chance of having natural channeling ability), and perhaps the Physical Manifestation of a Titan's shadow (known as a Titanite?). speaking of half-dragons ... I prefer not to like our contemporary drag
Single Player: 10 Multiplayer: 8 LAN: 1 I look forward to multiplay against all of you [e digicons]|-)[/e] , or at least those of you that enjoy/ partially enjoy multiplayer.
Currently it seems that if you have a nearby copper deposit (too far away to build upon with city), you get +0 copper ore per turn. Then if you use a pioneer to build a mine you get +3 copper per turn. Then if its captured the same mine gives you -3 copper per turn? Wuzza?? Wouldn't it make more sense to simply remove the +3 copper per turn? Instead of stacking +3s with -3s, or even WORSE to REDUCE your stockpile for losing resources? For instance, you build two copper mines via pione
Well, Ice attacks should be able to "freeze" your opponent (temporary stun, wide effect, easy to remove, lasts a long while), wheras a Fireball would attack, probably at either higher damage + smaller radius or smaller damage + larger radius ... and leave opponents "burning" which is easy to remove (water spells?), lasts a long time, causes damage over time (small damage attack, or simply -1 HP per round 50% chance for 10 rounds/turns). Then Lightning attacks could be smallest radius,
Well, looks like 1Z will be available to the new pre-orders ... and looks like 1Z will be out next week. Which means I wont be able to play 1Z for another 2-3 weeks!!!! This weekend was my only weekend in a LONG ASS time available for testing, as I have alot of Organic + Makeup work to do .... :(
