Me. :p Anyways, I think my favorite characters so far are the Arch-Lich Mortemeer and the Scout Leonon. The "quests" I found to like the most were the Undead Lands of Outlaw and the Merchant Kingdom of Demiansky. Of the submissions I, myself, have presented, the character I am most proud of is Yuri Alexandre, and the Setting I am most proud of is the UnderGround City of reptiles where Succubus Marcel lives (as well as the Yuanti, Kobold, and Orc wanderin
No, don't necessarily lie. Say that you are N+1 people, have a poor school system, are all vegetarians, and shop in small stores only or when possible. Then, if any of these things are false, lie in order to make them true (as in, say this no matter what the truth is). THen, sir, you are correctly filling out a census.
[quote who="1Tiberius1" reply="114" id="2568359"]Well, I'll just say that I don't consider Jon Stewart to be 'far left'. If you made a Keith Oberman post, then it would be relatively 'far left' as far as news media is concerned, not counting non-mainstream news casts like Air America and the like. Glen Beck is also an easy target, being totally insane. I'd say you were posting in a gray area, and Frogboy wanted to err on the side of caution. While the Daily Show is a c
Actually, Aroddo, that Post was already doomed because everyone knows that once you mention Nazis in a thread its only a matter of time before it dies. Its less a matter of extremist political views and more a matter of diluting the term "Nazi" until its a bastardized colloqualism.
Yes, Cikomyr, that was more or less correct. There will always be the Dragon and Orthus (unless you disable them) however their exact location of revival is relatively unkown (the dragon almost always pops in the best barbarian city, so its not out of thin air, but over the course of the first 40-100 turns several barb cities can pop-up from thin air so its still a random element. Meanwhile Orthus is almost completely random, and usually beelines to a particular civ and attacks only t
@ cephalo ... I think the point of this personalization is to add a "Soul" to the game. For without a soul, the game will not make it very far. Now, mechanically, there has not been a significant strategical element in place ... however I can see the barebones present of what they will attempt to do. Some of the pieces have already been placed together, in an element of synergy that appears to be fun. Now, realizing that its probably only 25% done in terms of content, an
Well, it FEELS like we are still in Beta 1F. And by that, I mean where are the quests? Has anyone gotten a quest, and if so, where did you find it? Ive explored entire maps and researched nearly complete tech trees .... ????
I don't really mind housing. I think once there is some variety, and some "zoning coding" which allows for organically flowing cities, yet no snake cities, and no box cities ... then it will be more fun. Also, at least one housing upgrade per city size, and also probably a refined tech for "every" food gathering resource. Refined Farming, Refined Orchards/Apiaries, Refined Fishing, Refined Hunting, Refined Herding (for sheep/cows). all in all, I think Va
I say that both opponents in a Tac battle get to caste the free spell "broadcast to other players" which allows players to click a button that brings them to an observation screen. I think being able to exit and re-enter the observation screen to from the Strategic World map would be pretty cool. Additionally, if only one opponent clicks "broadcast" then only his allies can see the battle. If both broadcast, then everyone can see the battle. I suppose an additional option of "
In the Total War games, if two opposing armies got near each other (even if neutral) both sides lose all movement points for the turn. The only options are to wait for next turn, or to fight. So even if one decides to fight, the other has to, unless he wants to attempt a retreat at that time (or during the battle) in which case he would run backwards towards the capital at 1.5x movement if successful.
Yuan-Ti Warior (Ergonan) Kobold Cleric (Synnthia) Orcish Paladin (Marin) Succubus Shadowdancer (Marcel) The Orcish Paladin is on a holy mission from the God(ess) of Fire, and ended up saving the life of a Yuan-Ti warrior that was cornered by savage human mercenaries, having wandered from their post, jeering and looking for blood. The Orc cast a spell of divine flame spirit that cast the Humans' hair aflame and blinded their eyes (temporarily). Th
BTS is the Civ 4 expansion pack called "Beyond the Sword" which is the platform of Fall From Heaven since 2.30 or so. What version of Fall From Heaven were you playing? Its possibly true that Orthus could have been much stronger in previous versions, his strength seems to go up and down in various builds. Also, Barbatos was truly deadly. Perhaps 10x as deadly as Orthus. Imagine an AI Lich str 8 that can summon Wraiths and Earth Elementals each turn. He used to Guard the Broken

I'd say that houses are fine, however there needs to be a point where the City wall only covers so many squares, and further buildings have to be placed "outside the wall" at decreased efficiency and tech. What I mean by that is, that Buildings outside the wall act as if they were in one city size lower. So while a City Size 5 might be able to build "duplexes" which can house, say, 50 people, outside the walls, new "houses" are simply (single story) houses which can hold 40 people. In
Hmm. Hovel=10 people (size 1) Hut = 20 people (size 2) Cabin = 30 people (size 3) House = 40 people (size 4) Duplex= 50 people (size 5) Apartment (4 squares) = 300 people (size 4) -> two story apartment Grand Apartment (4 squares) = 600 people (size 5) -> four story apartment
Machiavelli the Wandering Sorceror (Morrowind) A Necromantic Sorceror with a hidden and unseen agenda. Lurking from city to city, dungeon to dungeon, accruing wealth and reagents to maintain his hidden undead army. If you find him lurking, and he spots you, he will most likely summon several skeletons, or a Giant zombie, to keep you busy as he runs away. While Machiavelli's main specialty is in summoning Undead and Spectral creatures, he also works strongly in Fear mag
Yuri Alexandre was a Proud Warrior. He started out commanding armies for the Horselords of the plains, and then decided to wander off on his own, a lone warrior that had abandoned his post. He is the greatest Horse Archer in the history books, and it is said he can slay one hundred men upon riding past. He wears hardened leather, a bronze helmet, and a wooden shield (with Iron bracings) strapped to his back. His horse-back riding talent is so high he can perform almost

all good customization ideas. Might I add a cosmetic Armor/Weapons customization as well, however probably only chromatic, and even that is probably left to the mods. When units get excessively larger, as you zoom out onto the battlefield (in Tac Battles) I would expect for Grouped Units to display a Civ-colored Tabbard, for easy recognition. As well as an option to have your indiv soldiers have a Civ-color flashing base, for hte enmy as well, temporarily (meaning that
Actually, if your Pregnant Wife was with you in a Travel Caravan with/behind your army, it would make an interesting strategical objective to protect during battle ... :3 all in all, I think I would like 3 popups 1st (Lady Ann is pregnant!) 2nd(A Daughter has been born named Elizabeth. How would you like her to be raised?) A-Aristocrat of High standing ... potential for prestige bonuses, potential to be lazy B-Warrior on the front lines .
Well, assuming that for the most part, every turn might end up = year (or 6 months, or 4 moths) ... Pregnancies probably woludn't last that long. Maybe a turn or two at the most. So ... I think there should be an event of a Magical Pregnancy. The child is Prophesized as X, Y, and Z, and the pregnancy is lasting for an incredibly long time (5-10 years). There could be a zillion twists, turns, and challenges to this ... but if you do have the child, you get a really good
Interesting from a Mod-multiplay standpoint ... but only interesting from that sort of Scholarly type perspective. I would want the game to be balanced without such huge bonuses being givin to those with quick turns. I do however think its cool that large empires could potentially have less turns .... but this seems like something not TBS ... this after all would be a complete break and a new direction in experimental functionality. Personally I would prefer TBS, but would be
In any case, special Buildings designed to "educate the aristocracy" that increase certain administrative attributes of Royal Family members stationed in the city, and grow up in the city, would be cool. I think their should be a "Parental" talent, which could allow interesting bonuses and/or decisions in the Talent/Weakness ratio of your children, and potentially your children's children. Part of what I envision is simply a greater sense of "Parenthood" in the
