"So you're saying that of all the religious people who have been commenting, you're the only one who reads scripture with more than your eyes? If one religion is wrong or false, why aren't they all?" No, I'm not sayn=ing that, and it's my fault that you are confused, my apologies. I meant what do you understand scripture with? No one religion is "wrong", all religions contain a modicum of the truth. If they didn't people wouldn't follow them.

Tell me something Infidel, when you read scripture, the torah for instance, besides your eyes, what else do you read it with?
"Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Man, Lulapilgrim, is always born of water, the clue here is "born again". Jesus doesn't say "baptised" as in the baptism of John. It seems to me that you are making an assumption here that baptism is what Jesus is speaking of.
"Remember Satan can masqurade and be like an angel of light. When he was conversing with Eve, he was on his best behavior and what he said seemed pleasant to Eve at the time. He is very persuasive. Jesus said to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves." To listen to a spirit even if the Holy Spirit without the revealed words of God is unwise. God said everything is verified with two witnesses. That is important." Eve had eyes in h
The only spirit that I know of that has a voice is the "holy ghost". I've never heard any other spirit speak. Even a medium will tell you that when they communicate with a spirit it is a 'picture" type form of communication. (Personally I don't think that communicating with spirits is such a good idea myself, it's wading into water with which we have little knowledge). When one hears the voice of the holy ghost there is no mistaking it. It was not the "where ar
Who said anyting about "spirits"? I said the "holy spirit", and I specifically meant the holy spirit. As any medium will tell you there a lots of spirits, but there is only one "holy spirit". I also said nothing about emotions, but that is neither here nor there. There are experiences and then there are "experiences" one not being the same as the other. I should probably have not used the word "why", because I was not asking the reason that you call them
Excuse me Lulapilgrim, but what makes you think that the baptism of which Jesus speaks and instructs his apostles to perform is a baptism of water? Did not John the baptist say "I indeed baptize you with water, for repentance. But he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to bear. He will baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire."? Can you explain this?
Do you recall in the other forum that you began that you told me that in the garden God called Adams name not because God didn't know where he was but because he wanted Adam to know that he knew? I'm thinking it was you, and if I am incorrect and it was Lulapilgrim please say so. The point of my asking is is that this has been nagging at my attention ever since. If it was ideed you may I ask you a question? Why do you call your children, even when you know pretty
Yes KFC, as a matter of fact I did attend sunday school, but only for a short period of time due to the fact that my father was transfered overseas. What I learned there was not the jewish histories nor even very much about Jesus, but of something far more important, that of the parable of the mustard seed. In all fairness I must say that what I learned there in sunday school was the impetus that I needed as a child to further explore the spiritual.
Why do I say this, because it will fly in the face of all that you believe you know. Don't get me wrong, it flies in the face of everyone who is first confronted with it, including myself. I have no doubt that your reaction will mirror my own, which is that of total denial and a surety that it absolutely can not be the truth. The difference however is that while religion requires strict obedience to the church, (any church) and an absolute belief in so
"does this have something to do with the "worthyiness" of the people?" Not at all. However you do know my feelings on the use of the term "worthy". All are worthy, for God created all, but some are simply not ready to render unto God that which is Gods. Is this all that you do for "research", look into more books and texts? I'm asking because it's all that you mentioned. Do you have no life experiences that aid you in proving or disproving the vali
Taking that amount of time to cross the desert because of the number of people to make the crossing because it takes that much time, sounds radically different from because God wished to weed out those that were not "worthy". I do see a similarity between your points of view, but only to a point. You credit the 40 years to the movement of so many peoples, and she creidits it (according to Torah) because of the will of God. I am curious, what is your personal po
Sorry I quoted the wrong part, here it is: "The Torah itself says that G-d was disappointed with the current generation of Israel and hence decided to make sure that everyone would die before the nation would reach the promised land. But their children would enjoy the land of promise and nobody was meant to die early. That's why it had to take 40 years." What I want to know is that it sounds as if what KFC is saying i
This was the last straw. God had it with the Israelites. He said this in Numbers 14: "Because all those men which have seen my glory and my miracles which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times and have not hearkened to my voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware to their fathers neither shall any of them that provoked me see it. But my servant Caleb becasue he had another spirit with him and had followed
Leauki, do you have an opinon of what KFC wrote about the hebrews in the desert? Do you agree or disagree? By the way thank you for your further explanations.
I don't believe because anyone says so, and the holy spirit as far as I can tell only explains the experiences that one has already had. In other words it answers my questions about them. Do I know that "heaven" exists..........certainly do. I also know that one doesn't have to die to go there either. But don't take my word for it, because then it would only be theory, and as such isn't worth a thing. Yes Paul would say that, not that he was being vicious or
Thank you KFC for your answer. It makes sense to me, but can you tell me what you mean by "research"?
"The Holy Spirit. That's the short answer." So tell me, how do you think that the holy spirit did this thing? Did the holy spirit tell them, in which case it's no different then Jesus telling the masses, which doesn't amount to anything other than belief, not knowledge. Can you answer this question? If not just say so. I am very much aware of the definition of the terms that you have given me, gnosko. It's root word is "gnosis", and it does
Thanks for your perspective and your answers. They are all deserving of consideration, and I will consider them all. You stated that the only way to move a million people through the desert, was one of two ways, one of which was 'divine support". Isn't that what the hebrews had? It is interesting that you brought up gradual settlement. The OT doesn't mention this, And yet it seems like something that would, of course, naturally happen. If it
Leauki, I have a question for you pertaining to the jewish faith, and you are the most obvious person here to ask. After God, through Moses, led the people of Israel out of bondage in Egypt, why did God lead them for 40 years through the wilderness before bringing them into Caanan? It is quite obvious to anyone that can read a map, that Caanan is not 40 years away from Egypt, not even for people who are walking, as it appears, were the hebrews. It appears to ha
No where KFC did you ever hear me say that Jesus is not the king of the kingdom of heaven. If you have show me. What I did say was that Jesus was not God. Jesus said "in my fathers house their are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for you". What do you think that this statement of "many mansions" means? It's simple. If Jesus told the masses that there is a heaven, and he told the apostles that "unto you is given the knowledge of the
"Yes, I do have ears to hear. I thought I made it quite clear why you can know. You may want to re read this article that got this whole blog started in the first place. Go back to the beginning and read it again. " I don't need to read it again, nor do I have a question about why I can know. I know how I can know. What I wanted from you was the answer to how do you (specifically) know? It's a simple question, requires no great thou
"Before Abraham was I AM." John 8:58." So? This means what? Before anything including Abraham, there was the "I AM". The messiah is not God, but from God, there is a difference. Anyone who is one with God, can forgive sin. It is in fact not the person that is doing the forgiving because they no longer have a seperate will, it's God's will that is in operation. The person has become exactly lik
"You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." Yes it is futile, but mankind being what mankind is he will hold out until the last bastion falls. However why don't you tell me the reasoning behind this sarcastic remark of yours Infidel? I am quite curious as to why so many people act this way. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to the reason. As a jew, and I am assuming that you are one from your posts, I would think that you wo
just like I said?????? It is what you said, I was qouting your own words when I wrote it. However if Jesus gave them the knowledge it must have been different than that which he gave to the masses. So obviously he didn't just tell tell the apostles about it, since he also told the masses about heaven also. Care to explain then, just how they knew?
