Quoting AlRokerSurprise, reply 46My beta will not show up under my Games list. It is under the Registration list, but it won't appear anywhere where I can download it . In impulse click on the button on the top left. It should bring up a panel with a checkbox saying show pre-release versions. Check the box and you will be able to download the beta.
And one karma for you. :D

I have nothing either, but tomorrow I will have to study anyway and I will have very, very little time to play in the next few months... [e digicons]:'([/e]
SO now I am confused. Soe people seem to be testing already. Is there something we need to do? Will we get an email when we can download our beta or is there something I am completely missing?
Here is one older still. [e digicons][/e]
On a sidenote, how will we know when the beta gets launched? As of now I have my pre-ordered product code but nothing showing on impulse. Will it automatially show up on impulse or do I need to do something with the code?

Great stuff, +1 karma for providing these videos!
Very good system was in Sid Meyer's Colonization*). You needed a transport (a wagon or a ship) unit if you wanted to transport wares. It was possible to attack the unit and get the goods. If you wanted to cut suply lines of the enemy, you had to hunt theese units. I am not sure however, whether this system would be good in Elemental too: 1) in Colonization the number of wares was fixed from the beginning to the end of the game <br /
The`movie I downloaded was the one shown earlier, the early alpha version. That is what the 'PAX trailer' that can be found on gamershell is, an old video. False alarm I guess.
thnx for the headsup, checking it out right now, the download started without any hickups here. I will let you know in a few minutes.

I know every one pre-ordering the game is in, but I did not have the chance to pre-order yet. If I do it in the co
Soft 75 has the nicest colors imo. The other ones look a bit too harsh as if the grass does not grow that well and the river contains water that you better stay away from. Soft 75 does not have this look, yet I feel it could use more bright colors. There is not really anything wrong with the colors as they are in the first pic, it is just that they could use a bit more warmer colors. I like the sharper lines in the no HDR picture. The HDR ones seem a touch too blurry. The sharper line

In Cvi IV I hated that you had to mop up all the opposition in order to win as it easely became a chore to win. I liked MoM in the sense that you could just focus on the enemy wizard to win. If the AI cannot even defend his most powerful city he deserves to lose, right? As long a

It's not like they're still working on it or anything. I mean, there's only a year until it's released, the game should be pratically finished by now! Stop faking the argument, there are many elements there are finished b
You can possibly mod this, and the sandbox mode may very well be such that you need not play with any 'fallen' if you do not want to.

And it would give the general audience an idea that they better download MoM for free rather that buying Elemental. The developers are making this game with us during the beta phase. After that we w
Hmmm.... we'll just have to wait and see.... if this is done well it could be a lot of fun, but if the balance is off or the RNG is too overpowered, we could have a lot of save-reloading on our hands..... Forum double posted my post. Sry about that.

A 300 page thread full of people complaining about how it doesn't reach a standard imposed by nostalgia is not terribly helpful. 300 pages of, 'This sucks. MoM was better.' would not be useful. Once you have the "broadsword" unlocked, you get units with broadswards. And if you upgrade to a better broadsword tech, all units are automatically upgraded, or upgraded as soon as a shipment arrives to them (if they are already trained and it tu

I don't think that was his intention. The screenie clearly shows these regulars can get XP. I guess his point is that these poor units dies so quickly that they seldom get the chance to advance to veteran levels...... [/q

The materials idea you propose is nice as an idea for the results of technological breakthroughs. Once you get tech X, you may add material A to your iron weapons, granting them one additional +1 bonus or something. Having the techs focussing on the matrials or something, or on schematics is just wrong imo. Maybe it could be so that you need to adjust the forges in order to make use of these special materials, but these adjustments are not as expensive as sompletely building a new bui
