I would vote for The British National Party.
As I understand it, they're a bunch of socialist bully-boys who tend to draw voters away from Labour and the Lib-Dems. I think I'd opt for the UKIP myself. One analysis I read of the election was that all 3 major parties were infested with American political consultants advising them all to go after the same 200,000 voters in critical swing districts while ignoring their own base of support. I'm getting this also, although it seems to me to be less frequent that it was in earlier betas.
This time I hit it on turn 95, and got three (count em, three!) OoM windows: debug.err is here. Once again, a zero length .dmp file was created.
I got the victory window again, clicked and got the main menu, clicked on exit and clicked yes on the confirmation message. The game took an abnormally long time to end. It finally did end (without the "Turn based ..." message I reported in the OP, but I did find a dump file. debug.err is here. dump file is here.
Hit it again. This time I had just placed a market in a level 5 town, but the graphic for the market, when placed, came up as a black square. I was in the mode where you're zoomed in on the city when placing buildings, and when I clicked "done" and it automatically zoomed out the Out of memory window came up. Then a second or two later another OoM window popped up over the first one. dxd
drag it to the icon of the recipient on the Left side of the screen
I just tried that with the patchwork armor I previously couldn't transfer and it worked. I had been putting the units in the same army and then dragging the item to the unit's icon in the selected army list on the lower right. Your method works much better.
What size town is required for harbors and fisheries? I have a level 5 town here and both harbor and fishery are grayed out:
Maybe this is something you guys just haven't gotten around to yet, but I noticed that the pictures for the spells Create Desert, Rain of Fire, and Ice Storm are all the same. Particularly inappropriate for Ice Storm:
I've tried transferring swords to other heroes or children, and that seemed to work. I couldn't get patchwork armor to transfer. Discussed in this thread .
If I recall correctly, one of the developers said that units exit cities only at "gates", which with the current version of the beta we can't see.
If I want to separate units from a stack, I first select the unit within the stack so that it has the little up arrow on its icon, like this: Then I right click on an adjacent tile, in this case the one southeast of the stack: Doing this separates the unit, and If I repeat the operation and select another unit from th
Alas, I remember it well.
This might be the same problem I reported in this thread. Did the phantom unit disappear after a turn or two, or after a reload of a saved game?
Do you still have the debug.err and the dump file?
I got the same thing, and reported it in this thread.
After hitting the problem after updating to tonight's version, I uninstalled, erased all the files in both Elemental directories, and did a clean install. Started a new game, and this time I hit the problem on turn 280. Debug Message: - Ending Turn 280 - Debug Message: Current Memory Usage: 1386061 KB debug.err is here. <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5003976/Elemental0_32-20
I've hit the same problem with tonight's update, so I don't think it's fixed. See this thread. Initial report was from before tonight's update, but in a later post I had a dump from after tonight's update.
When I've hit this error the .zip file for the dump is 0 bytes, but there's a .dmp file with the same name in the same directory that is the actual dump before it got zipped. So I've just been erasing the .zip, zipping the .dmp, and putting that in dropbox.
I'd love to be able to agree with all you guys about the stability, but I'm 0 for 2 on completing games without crashing. For me it's the out of memory error that does it. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, in case that is relevant.
I downloaded today's update to 0.32, started a new game, and still hit the out of memory, this time on turn 170. From the debug.err: Debug Message: - Ending Turn 170 - Debug Message: Current Memory Usage: 1430032 KB See OP for dxdiag. debug.err is here. Dump file is here.
I tried this again in my second game. My sovereign, Relias, had a couple of extra swords and some patchwork armor that he didn't need. I had hired the mercenary Arvix, so I moved him into my army and tried to drag and drop a sword and the armor to him. The sword transferred ok, and I was able to equip him with it, but I could not transfer the patchwork armor. I tried dragging it to him a half a dozen times, and none of them took. By the way, I got the same grap
After getting the victory window, I clicked on "Exit" to leave the game, and I got the "Turn based fantasy strategy game has stopped working" window. Update: there was a dump, and it's here. debug.err is here. dxdiag is here.
I saw the same thing, only it was an enemy sovereign - supposed to be Pariden, but now (after a reload) he looks like my sovereign and has the same name. My sovereign: This used to be Pariden:
I started up a game in windowed mode, loaded a saved game, and then used alt-tab to switch to my browser and spent the next half hour or so reading the Elemental forums. I then clicked on the Elemental window that was in the background, and got this: debug.err is here. <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5003976/DxDiag2.txt"
