Could not build the shard improvement on a death shard. Had an Air shard in my territory, researched shard harvesting, built the improvement on that. Then my boarders expanded and an earth shard came into my territory. Did not want an earth shard so i cast the spell to change it into a death shard. It became a death shard. When i hilighted that tile the "build" button was there but when i clicked on it nothing would happen. Construction would never start. Hit next turn

Downloaded the beta setup file to my desktop. Double clicked to execute and ??? My HDD light is breaking land speed records....my hourglass is spinning like crazy...but thats been going on for like 10 minutes. Is this normal? No installation screens on the beta? Thanks Frogboy!!! I think I get it now. So you can't make new sovs with the ability but ones that were created with it will still have it? Organized will be very missed. SLOWS the game down a lot not having it. Looks like I will be playing with my old sovs a lot
Playing my first game in v1.08 and an opposing Sovs appears to have more lives than a cat. In my travels i came upon him with my sov group and he was alone so i attacked. Won the battle but he"escaped before the killing blow". I chased him down, attacked, won, and he "escaped" again. This happened 4 times???? Then the 5th time i chased him into him city and figured i had him then. I attacked the city, won the battle, took the city, but he "escaped" AGAIN!!! How many times in 1.08 do you have
I too noticed that in my current game someone gave birth to a boy after only about 20 turns. How is that possible. Also teleport may be 15 but spirit dance for empire is 20 mana...totally unusable and makes the early game EXTREMELY difficult. Not able to adequitely protect my cities. I downloaded what according to impulse is Ver 1.08b Beta last night before it was officially listed that 1.08 was released. I understand now that ver 1.08 is released but when i open impulse or the game it says it is up to date and no new upgrades are available. I'm convused? is there a difference between 1.08 and the "Beta" that i downloaded? When i start the game in the lower left corner it says 1.08 but when i open impulse it says elemental is using 1.08b Beta.
No mods are being used and I did start a brand new game. That is how i discovered the issue with Janick's (imbued champions) mana disappearing.

One thing that definately needs to be added to the tactical battles is the control of the placement of the units at the start of the battle. Right now you start a tactical battle and it's a pure crap shoot as to where units will start. The only constant that I have seen is that the soverign usually starts in the second row.
interesting? Can you save all the mod files in seperate folders elsewhere on your hard drive and then just copy in the files of the mod you want to use? that way it isn't all or none, just the one you want to use?
I'm a long time pc gamer but have never used mods before. EWOM seems like the perfect game to start to play with mods. I recently downloaded two maps off of this site as well as Elementerra random map generator and Undead Rising 2.0 from www.elementalgame.info , a fan site. My question is how do you use these. I agree...the RPG side of this game has a lot of untapped potential from added conversation and tactical options, to the dynasty feature, etc... This is what excites me about this game. I know the devs have talked alot about the RPG aspect of this game so I can;t see them not expanding it into something much deeper as more updates/patches/expansions come out.

In my game, the daughter that married into my family, and became "soverign of Kraxis" after kraxis was eliminated, was still under my control. At that point i basically had 2 soverigns although her level was fairly low because she was never developed.
I was playing a game and had one of my sons marry the first born daughter of the Kraxis. She was listed as first in line to the throne of Kraxis. I ended up going to war with Kraxis and wiping out the Kraxis and i nioticed shortly after that the daughter (who was in my main city) was now listed as a soverign of Kraxis. But there was no Kraxis empire for her or me to rule but i thought it was strange that the game would now name her the soverign of an empire that no longer existed.
I thought i remember one of the pre-mades having the Siege Masters traits. Can;t remember exactly who but i believe it was a kingdom
