Can you play 1.07 saves after updateing to 1.08. You couldn't do that on the jump from 1.06 to 1.07. Just curious because I want to install the patch asap but I am currently in the middle of an awesome game. [e digicons][/e]

There was no other hero in the sqare so no one got it although it did let me cast it. I'm not sure if that hero needs to be inbued because it is really a talent not a spell. but the mouseover says not enough mana. Mewho1...how did you get it to work.. or is there anyone else that got it to work out there???
been playin CIV4 in anticipation of Civ5 And Fallout 3 in anticipation of Fallout New Vegas
I recruited a lvl 3 hero that had an ability that said something like this "has the ability to hit an enemy with a devistating attack spell that can't miss". Anyway. whenever i am in a battle that ability is listed under his actions but it always has a red X over it. When I do a mouse over it says not enough mana. Well, he isn;t a spell caster so he has no mana. I figured the solution was to imbue him so he has mana. I cast that spell and nothing happened. My soverign now has 3 less m
Just like you can only build 1 Labor Pit, why not impose restrictions to how many farms can be built? Quite simple, and even more awesome, make it so you can't build farms on swamps or hills. I think with these restrictions it would ensure that you won't have uber auto-sufficient cities. Also, concerning food. One of the factors that makes it so that food is a little out of whack... Population doesn't consume food. Usually that serves as a reall
Think about what it would take you to accept a non agression pact to a random someone you thought you could beat. I doubt a human player would agree as quickly as the AI, even with teh increased cost.
I agree. that is why that cost should not be associated with being able to pass through another kingdoms territory. Open borders should be a seperate agreement. If you are in another kingdoms territory and you declare
Just started another game and about 50 turns in realized i was out on a "peninsula" for lack of a better term and was blocked from getting off of it and exploring by another kingdom that wanted the sky for non-aggro treaty Open Boarders...please [e digicons]O:)[/e]
1) i don't see how it could affect normal units since they dont have essence. I think it just gives 25% to heros and soverigns. However, I don;t know if they need to be in the cities area of influence. That is a good question. Does having a Temple of essence give 25% to all heroes/sovs just for owning one in your kingdom? Global effect? 2)Units heal anywhere but fast in your ZOC. Now, with that said, i also remember hearing that units heal even faster IN cities than in the the ZOC but

yea, the "value they AI places on non-aggor pacts is rediculous. it jumps condierably the moment they view their army even 1 point superior to yours. Open borders would allow for a lot mor exploration

This game is easily a b+ atm, and heading for a nice A ^^ That's considering I never crashed once while playing the game. Happened twice while loading a saved game... Send stardock y
I think this game really needs an option for open borders treaties and not have that linked to non-agression pacts. In a few games now i have had units exploring the world and had my non agression pacts end. Because of the layout of the land these units were trapped. I was going to make another non-agression pact but a) i wanted to declare war on the other faction in about 20 turns. and b) it was way too expensive. The fact that the pact was so expensive also brongs up another issue.
Yup...thats the post that confused me. when it says "raises Quest Q3" does that mean it raises your ability to do quests to level 3 or that level 3 quest location appear on the map?
Does anyone have a list of techs that raise your quest level in adventure and domination? Not the level of quests that appear but the ones that raise you level of ability to do quests. I have level 4 quests appearing now and real tough creatures because i was researching all types of tech to raise my level but none did. stuck on level 2. I saw another post in regards to the dom/adv techs but it was confusing to me cause it didnt seem to spell out which ones raised your level as opposed to the
Was in the middle of a game and ventured far from home territory figuring i could always teleport back if needed. Well now i need to and the teleport spell is just GONE. not in learned, not in to be learned, just gone? I know it was ther because i used it once earlier in this same game. I even went back to all my previous saves and it is gone from all of them. Totally confused!!! HELP!!!
Agree with OP 100%
WOW, great thread and very constructively worded!!! It's nice for someone to take the time to post such details suggestions and criticism without "bashing" a game. +1
Early in my game last night i captured an enemy city (his only one). I started building and managing it and noticed it was only level 1. My other cities where all at level 3. When i moused over the level progress bar which was pegged it said that the city was at it's max level??? I built it up to where it had over 100 population and more huts for expansion but it wouldn't level up?? Can captured cities be leveled up or do they always remain at the level they were when you captured them? Was i
HUM???? I thought that was what i was doing??? Must have been doing something wrong. I'll give it another try in a game today. Thanks guys!!!
ok i think i will buy it then i generally just play on easy cause im lazy
If that is true then you are like me. I like to play on easy to normal cause i'm "lazy" too. Want my games not too agressive so I can enjoy the kingdom building aspects. So it sounds like we play similar and to answer your question...buy it...I love the game!!!
Is there a way to trade for material or material or metal? In a game i was playing last night i had no metal resource in my area to mine which severly hampered me. When i spoke with other soverigns in the relations screen there was an option for trade agreement but when i selected it it just threw up somethin like X kingdon will get # gold per turn and Y kingdon will get # gold per turn??? There wan;t an option to let me pick that i wanted metal in exchange for materials. Is there a tech i ne
