Funny, I posted on your "ridiculous is too hard" thread, with the same problem. I am currently on turn 390 or so of a ridiculous/ridiculous, and basically playing around with how I want to win. Could have master quested some time ago. Thinking I'll kill the one remaining faction (I killed all the rest) and get a conquest. Kind of itching to try insane/insane... Congrats.

Woah, did David Hume just get quoted? These forums just got more intellectual, brah.
I just started tinkering with light quest modding. And the problem with that is, then you get BIG ideas. Namely, I want to create a new master quest that risks LOSING the game. I was wondering if any of the following are possible/feasible in .xml tags as part of a quest mod- -Give a unit or item or to an AI player at random (as opposed to rewarding the player with one) -Have Curgen's Volcano cast on each player's capitol (This is asking a lot, right? I am
What the OP is referring to is that between Player turns you are attacked and then retreat and when it is once again your turn you have 0 strategic movement. I had had this happen many time before and thought it was as intended and never thought of it otherwise but now that I do it might be a bug.
Might be a bug. My point is just that if you use good discretion in who you attack and where you walk, it isn't that bi
If you spend a lot of time on warriors late game, they are still very useful. The only challenge is keeping them from taking hits from crushing blow or other one-shot-kill attacks. Blade rush not only lets you damage multiples, it basically is a free teleport. Load your warrior up with good plate mail (preferably champion armor). High defense and HP, and they can take some damage. The decimate trait lets warriors do lots of damage to units of multiple
If 1 casting time to escape is such a problem, then you attacked a monster stack way beyond your current ability to kill.
Happens sometimes. Monsters mess up the AI all the time, too.
Okay, here are TWO examples of bad auto-resolves: First, impale done by a Brood Warden should hit two enemies max. It hit pretty much everyone: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti77prsbhtdjh8o/impale3.jpg Interestingly, it did regular damage to the first and last unit, and above average damage to everyone else. I am thinking the first and last were the "actual" targets of the impale ability. Here's the sa
It's a matter of experience with the game. I used to find normal/normal challenging. Now I can beat ridiculous/ridiculous. Here are five tips for expert/expert: 1) Select your computer opponents. Don't play against Yithril or Gilden until you're comfortable on that setting. Yithril in particular will almost always have more troops than you, and want war if you are weaker. 2) Yithril is really powerful because of the warlord profession. Consider using it you
I happen to have parrotmath's file here, if you want to use it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1uffo0337skfhpk/championNOXPDIVIDEv1_1.xml

Keep searching forums. I think I heard this issue before, and it had to do with anti-aliasing settings. Do you have a catalyst control center? Try messing with the anti-aliasing settings on your graphics card.
parrotmath posted a quick mod for this. Download his file, and that line is added to all champs.
Okay, I'll update with a replication of this bug as soon as I can.
If you want to increase the chances of a bug fix, take a screenshot (press Printscreen) of the auto-resolve details next time it happens. Post that with your save game to the forums here, and that'll increase the chances stardock will fix it. How to report an issue: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415301/page/1/#3337706 I've been to lazy to to do myself, but I'll promise to follow up
Abilities like cleave and impale are broken in auto-resolve. Instead of hitting up to 3 units, they hit ALL units. I have also seen Earth Elementals use Shockwave on my entire army in the auto-resolve - including archers. If you are going to auto-resolve, think twice about whether the enemy has area-of-effect abilities.

FYI, the tooltip says alliances require you to go to war to defend your ally if they are attacked. This is not the case, for some reason. You can make an alliance and remain uninvolved with an ally's wars. Alliances are more permanent peace treaties, and can get you the diplomatic victory.
Your relations must be "Close" for an alliance to be an option.

What does the User interface currently say the spell does? According to the .xml, it seems to target just one city, but I am no expert at reading the .xml files. The file does look like it means to disable training and construction. But the AI could probably still rush something though, right?
I have seen this same phenom, but I never ever use assassins, so rain of arrows is probably not the cause. I'll create a save immediately after this happens to me again, and post.
