Having finally finished two games under v0.981, I voted Excellent, on the Beta 5 . (I wanted to wait long enough to make sure of my vote.) Actually, I had already voted Excellent, when you did the last poll, on the Beta 4. However, I had been seriously concerned then, about the number of bugs that remained to be fixed; so that was a pretty close call, in my opinion. Thi

I'm sure it will be alot more efficient now to do an early military tech or two and build some units to support your heroes. It certainly sounds like it reading the patch notes. After that there will be some really hard choices presented: Go even further up in military tech and get even better hero support in
Quoting OrionM42, reply 30 Actually, I like that fact that trained units grow in size, over the course of the game, as their training and tactics improve (including group cohesion, and interdependence). This is represented well enough through army size. Adding squads to it is redundant. The game would be so much easier to balance if everything was a single unit.
<span style="font-size:
The whole differing group sizes thing should've been axed imo. It just complicates balance so much. One group size for the entire game would work just fine and everything could be more easily balanced around it.
The thing is, guys, we can have an honest difference of opinion about this. I must say that your Fallen Enchantress 0.981 Changelog (for the, as yet, unreleased update) is really looking excellent! However well intentioned, I think OneLion's Original Post, here, is a little too critical and too negative. OneLion did repeat "our mantra" that he really wants to see Fallen Enchantress succeed . I agree whole-heartedly with that; but by now, I pretty much take it as a matter of course, that the self-selected (and serious) Beta testers want E:FE to succeed. A major success in this
As expected, this is a genuinely interesting experiment! Thanks, Tuidjy, for thinking of it, and for taking it on. (As Seanw3 notes, it makes for a good read too.) Good Observation, clearstar ! ... and good comment ... I agree that the intro music (and gameplay music too) is considerably above average. This kind of feature adds ambience and immersion to the game. It also adds class! Much like the artwork in this game, the quality that it adds is kind of subtle; but it really does make for an enhanced game-playing experience. I have pre

The Beta 5 (v0.980.062) became available around Noon, Mountain Daylight Time (or perhaps a little before) - equates to 1:00PM Central Daylight time. On my (rather slow) InterNet connection, download took only about 3 minutes and 15 seconds. The Patching process ("Visual Patch") took perhaps another 2 minutes, making this the fastest update/download that I have seen thus far. Worked
