LH uses Steamworks, Steam will be required.
Disappointed I am! I still don't use Steamworks, and I don't plan to now. I guess that means I won't be playing Legendary Heros

When the update is available (next week), will I be able to update directly from v1.02, with a single download ? The thing is, I never got around to downloading that intermediate fix (v1.12 ?), because I didn't want to lose "Curgen's Volcano" (which became prohibitively "expensive" - mana-wise), without the chance of being able to use it, in a couple of games. <span sty
Jeez, that's scary! (Okay, Polistes already said that.) The thing is, when someone you know (sort of) does something like that; that's the first time it seems like something that really could happen. So ... don't do that sort of thing any more! ... please ... [e digicons][/e]
I definitely liked the Gaming Nexus Review of Fallen Enchantress (Tom Bitterman's review of 12/17/2012, for Gaming Nexus). A pertinent quote (IMHO) from the beginning follows. I think it is pertinent because it insightfully addresses the context of current fantasy-gaming, and in the process acknowledges the 900 pound gorilla in the room.
Still playing a game on v 1.02, so haven't loaded v 1.1 yet. My comment is limited by that context ... I think Stardock has finally got this issue pretty much fixed. As Glazunov1 suggests, you can now see an unpredictable variety of behaviors on the part of the monsters. This is so much better that just two or three updates ago, when the AI behaved much more m

Thanks Rhadagast for asking the question; thanks Tuidjy for your brilliant analysis; and thanks, Mr. Paxton, for confirming the accuracy of Tuidjy's analysis. <span style="font-

We silly Americans call Deutschland: Germany. We call Kobenhavn (the capital of Denmark): Copenhagen. And a thousand other examples ... ( hey, we could make this a Game Thread! ) ... so I think it is purposeful (and almost logical) to allow us to rename Enemy cities in Fallen Enchantress. Not a bug ...
The insta-building bug is alive and well in 1.02. In fact you can watch it happen right before your own eyes.
One Addendum to my Reply #15 above ... and then I promise I will get off the subject. On one hand, this is a pretty minor feature; but on the other hand, it should easy
Can we please have the ability to edit custom factions and sovereigns. They can be created fine, but if you make one little mistake you're stuck with it, especialy if you forget to change the name and get stuck with one of the awful random names that are generated. And while I'm about it can we also have the ability to delete them? While it appears that sovereigns can be deleted by right-clicking, it is only a temporary delete as the AI can still use th

Well, I predicted 88, so I think I win. [e digicons]:)[/e] I mean, you have to take the final average, and then add the "+10: Dumb Reviewers factor", to arrive at the correct score for a complex, niche game like FE. That's how you arrive at the proper score that a premier piece of gaming software deserves ... Oops ... wait a minute .
I think one of Best Things in the game right now, is the breadth and depth of Customization (via the Starting Screens) that is available even in the Plain Vanilla Sandbox game. Taken as a whole, those starting screens provide an amazing degree of Customization in the various realms of: Sovereigns, Factions, Geography, Characteristics/bonuses, Selected opponents, Monster density, Faction appear

As Parrottmath points out, Tuidjy's "Newbie Guide" thread is excellent. You should definitely take a look at it. One nice thing Tuidjy does, is provide extended explanations for some gameplay aspects, and then (often) finishes with a One Sentence summary, which says something like: "If there is one thing you take away from this ...
