I really need to get work done faster so I can stockpile time and have the opportunity to spend a few days in Elemental after the patch. I've been enjoying it so far, but, improvements, Yay! Also, quick question. Will there be any changes made to the dynasty system? I am currently able to marry my grandchildren between themselves, as in, brother and sister married. And it kinda bites that I have to lose my daughters if I want additional children, it would be nice to marry them to hero

I got Elemental this morning [e digicons][/e] So, here's what I've done so far. About 400 turns in, killed Umber with my kids. No army, just my kids. They got the merchanting part for their mother, but they got the 20+ mana from me. Just imagine 3 kids, each with his own army of Ice Lords, Fire Giants, and other summons that aren't really that useful against groups. I'll post another save when I'm farther along on another map. <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12979

Hey everybody. Have your prizes arrived yet? I haven't heard any news about mine yet, and I'm starting to get worried since the customs authority went on strike a few weeks ago. If there isn't any sign of the game for another week, could anyone from Stardock please add the game to my Impulse account? I promise I'll send back the key for the Collector's Edition when it arrives. [e digicons]:pout:[/e]

Sweet, if you got it in Saint-Petersburg, mine should be close by. I just hope it gets here safe. I've been having nightmares of greedy customs officers nabbing my pewter dragon. Sorry to hear about the customs charges. Hope they won't be that high if I have them in my country, I recently payed my education tax and am broke again :D

Elemental tracking update time! Has anyone from Eastern Europe gotten their game yet? I've resorted to stalking my postman, just in case he is attacked by ninjas while carrying my Elemental LE. So far he's safe, but no package so far, and it's been a month.

Well this is great news. Just as the game seemed to get closer to home, the customs authority announce it would be protesting recent salary cuts by clogging up the customs office. And knowing my country, I just hope no one steals it. By any chance, were the keys for the LE editions won in the Elemental Army contest written down somewhere? Just in case.

I really have high hopes for The Agency, but lately all they've show is PvP, and about a year ago, the head designers quit the project. It's probably the only new MMO I may actually be able to play(no online fee) that I really look forward to. After Tabula Rasa, going back to a standard MMO just seems wrong. Here's hoping SOE pulls it off.

Speaking as someone who has endured the stigma of "Ha, you played Tabula Rasa, the MMO that got closed in less than 2 years!". I am somewhat relieved that there's a new bleeding fish in the shark tank. Nonetheless, it's sad that the game didn't make it. It had a few good ideas, and having it shut down just like that isn't fair to the people who made it and especially tot he people who bought it.

Elemental tracking update time! Has anyone in the central/eastern part of Europe gotten their boxed copy of Elemental War of magic yet?

Speaking as someone who very much enjoyed the one city challenge of Civ 4, I hope city spaming gets balanced by the time my copy arrives. Having several generic cities just doesn't feel right to me. I'm used to forging a nation trough highly productive and advanced, but few cities. Quality over quantity.

It may not be the same solution, but I ran into similar problems with other TBS games. Because of my low CPU speed I had to turn down the number of opponents. The more they were, the more time I was stuck between turns. Also, what with the negative billion whatnow?

I think the game will resolve the battles trough normal combat rounds that are calculated rapidly, without the need for a combat screen or player interaction. I generally steer clear of auto-resolve combat, unless I'm in a hurry, and hearing this, I may not use them very often, since I dont really like using bows. Magic staves that can shoot death lightning on the other hand, that is more my kind of ranged combat. They aren't compulsory are they? I mean, there aren't instances where auto comb

I like the way Master of Magic handled city auto-destruct. You just had to pump out settles until the population was depleted. And since you only needed to get rid of relatively small towns, 3-4 settlers were enough.

It looks like it's gotten to parts of Europe, this is good news. I reckon it'll be another week before it gets to my little Romania, at the least. By then, there'll be another patch up, making my first experience of the game even more enjoyable [e digicons][/e]

Shouldn't there be something like this in the manual/reference card of the game? There do seem to be a lot of the though, and I'm guessing they're separated for kingdom and empire. Still, the trees aren't as long as I would have thought they would be. I still have fond memories of scrolling for ages in Age of Empires and Civ 4.

I completely agree with the spell description, that was one of the parts I liked best from HoMM 4 and would very much like to see it in Elemental.

I have a question. I don't have much experience with painting figurines. What type of paint do you use? Oil based, water based, some other kind?

It looks sweet. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but going for either a red or black theme.

When I first heard some guy walked into a television station and took hostages, I thought: "Finally, someone solved the Glen Beck problem". Sadly there wasn't anything funny about it. But one thing does come to mind. How will they prove that playing Doom caused him to act like that?
