As an Opera user, I must say that 11.5 is a quite nice, stable and has lost a lot of the bugs it had during the beta. Still can't understand how so few people use it, it's an excellent browser, especially for maintaining an on-line database. I can get up to 1 entry per second thanks to it's use of in-page element keyboard selection options.

So the iPhone isn't very well suited to working in wet conditions? All this new fangled technology's got nothing over the old tech. I once had a Philips Savy that not only worked under water, but it had a polyphonic speaker until it dried. Although, I'm guessing the water didn't affect the iPhones flash support, so there's that. Yes, I am not a fan of Apple mobile devices.
Quoting unacomn, reply 3 Hmm, any plans of adding upkeep for units? Pretty sure they already have an upkeep. When I was playing last, I was in my budget window and noticed a "Wages" entry. I assumed this was army wages.
Forgot about those. But what if it were more than money?
The ability to upgrade existing units is going to make a world of difference. No more disposable units. But it would also mean than whenever the AI decides to spam a cheap unit(which it actually hasn't since 1.2b) early on, at some point, it'll be able to pump them up to something really dangerous. Hmm, any plans of adding upkeep for units? Can't wait for the Magic journal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for backfiring spells and consequenc
Agreed, the rays from the sun make for a great addition to the atmosphere. Now, any chance their color can be chanced in game by events/spells.
The prospect of having every hero be unique is very much to my liking. I very much look forward to seeing the Magic journal. I'm mostly interested in one particular fact, if spells can have multiple effects, side effects and if they can backfire. Heavenfall mentioned that in WoM they can't, and that really limits the chaotic potential of magic.
Cursed/Hexed/Bane/Anathema/Nerfed - Sovereign weakness that reduces Constitution by 3 and only allows the unit to heal 1hp/turn (normally a unit heals level/turn and double that when they re in a city). I thought about "Scarred" or "Frail" but I'm not a huge fan of either.
I can only think of one application for this, and it requires deactivating safe search.
Simultaneous combat would probably do well to counteract my Berserker Steamroller tactic.
Thanks Doc, I was actually in the need of something like this.
On a large map, I've found about the same amount of resources, although I'm still playing the same map I started with last week. I'll try a few more soon.
Sadly, in my case, the Rogue Mage didn't get to do a thing. With 5 action points and a bow, both his guards died in one shot, and he got arcane arrowed in the same turn.
True, but that also makes losing them that much more of a concern. This also seems to have caused the AI to shift to quality over quantity, well, at least as far as I got to play before getting to work. They only had about 10 units(in group form) and a few heroes, which is just about what I had until I started using Call to Arms. The AI not spamming poorly designed units to inflate it's ego is a significant improvement. Next up, I'll try to see how far I can go b
Quoting Heavenfall, reply 2 I just straight up DO NOT GET the hit point reduction. It seems completely illogical. Tactical combat should last longer, not shorter, especially considering how easy it is to cheese the AI in tactical. What's the point in having 8 men with 45 health get taken down in a single turn by an enemy 8-man squad with 80 attack? And that's just using bloody boar spears. http://i.imgur.com/jo0fl.png and that'
Weird things happen with the population when conquering towns. I understand that the population cost/new improvement increases with each one built, but when conquering a new town, it just skyrockets. It counts the preexisting ones from the conquered towns as newly built. I end up just razing them, to save me the hassle.
Hehe, that's just after my last exam. Looking forward to it.
Monsters: Balaur- Better name for a Green Dragon Zmeul- Better name for a Red Dragon The Ex, kiddin', Arachne or Black Arachnia (yes, the one from Beast Wars) - Better name for a Giant Black Widow Spider
Guardian Wind- Tactical spell that gives all your allies a bonus vs missile attacks. I know it's the exact same name as in MoM, but that's the point. Also, new ideas for the level 2 unit thing: Battle Bred, War Baptism, Be Prepared, Ready for Action.
Unit Abilities: Recruit - Unit starts at 2nd level Go for the eyes!- Increases the crit chance all units in this units army Faction Abilities: Recycling or Waste management- Halves the metal and labor cost of armor and weapons Herpetology - Gives the faction the ability to recruit Naja, Ophidian, Drakes and Forest Drakes (snakes and lesser dragons) Armor: Armuria- A magical breastplate with increased defense<br
Rats, well that shoots holes in an idea I had. Thanks for the info.
I'm going to bug you with another question now. Is it possible to assign several effects to a spell that take place alternatively or at the same time depending a dice roll/percentage. Sort of like Chaos Channels had in Master of Magic. Like, or a spell that deals a variable damage to the enemy, and that also has the chance to backfire.
I figured it would be a bit too much, but I can still dream about it. Theoretically though, when you select a spell for casting, can the action be intercepted and directed to a panel where you could select the variation of the spell? Or maybe not even that, just adding the extra spells with the clear type specified would also work, like copies as you mentioned. Although it wouldn't be as immersive. There has to be a way to make it seem like they aren't different spells, but variations
I really like your ideas, and if I could add one of my own: Underpowered and overpowered spells. The concept was originally made for a D&D-ish game, but the basis can be applied wherever there are spells, it also ties into the intelligence requirement implemented as a desired amount, instead of a mandatory one. In essence(not sure if this counts as a pun), when you have to little intelligence, or if you just don't want to cast it a spell at full potential, you co
Reminds me of the time I had to do 84 daily shows a month. I was not a happy camper. Burned out after eight months, gave it another go, crashed in flames in 4 months. I am now creatively bankrupt, and feel like 10 years older.
Wait, so it's not going to be rebooted as a gritty FPS with a brown color filter? [e digicons]:'([/e] I suppose going down the Master of Magic route will suffice.
