yea!! finally full HD support so do we all update now - before the turn 7 is concluded?
Well maybe. Patch when llama patches. Turn 6 should be sent with the old version for now. Just keep on looking at what llamaserver says otherwise.

I'd play another game, the 2nd one I was supposed to be in is just stuck with people not loading pretenders and other nonsense :p
Quoting Terraziel, reply 13I'm sort of astonished that Sword of The Stars 2 isn't on more people's lists, given the games Stardock make anyway. It would be, but I've heard SotS2 will require DX10. If so, then it is hard for me to be excited as I have XP and therefore lack access to DX10.
This! Also following the dev over at the Kerb forums and I'm kinda &
Storm makes flying impossible (with a few exception, mostly caelian units). Or, just kill them, they'll get to you faster, they'll fatigue faster (flying doubles enc I believe, for moving at least), and they'll have 'wasted' a script on making everyone fly. It does depend on what is flying. Flying tramplers are a pain because they can jump to places you may not expect them, so you have to protect your mages/commanders dif
Something good. [caveat, in a genre I am interested in, so no matter how great whatever FPS or RTS is going to be, I'm not going to get it anyway] Haven't seen anything to get my hopes up though.
I'm not sure it's quite as simple as just saying 'don't like it, don't buy it'. Oh, on the one hand it clearly is, on the other hand, if the trend goes to the extreme where everything is driven by this model then what? Don't buy it? Means don't play, well, anything I guess. Hell it's a fine initiative if only to maybe make some developers reconsider their business model for various games. Yeah, you send a messa
Also flying carpets for map move, but they only move small numbers of units, not armies to be sure. There are also various teleport type spells (well including teleport), some of which let you move all the troops with the commander casting it, though they are not as useful as people might hope, on purpose though, they would be way OP. However, A2 jarls (you need a booster to do this I'm pretty sure, the odds of a natural A2 jarl are miniscule)
OOC May I kindly request a 24 extension for this move (turn 4) as my interent is temporally down. I am arrainging a temporary workaround. I can do the turns via someone else's PC for a few days, should have permission, if I use a flash drive to transport the turn files back and forth. It will take a day to set it up. (I late afternoon tomorrow - Friday). EDIT
Yeah, I thought there was an 'auto' host (not quick host) which used the turn timer. There isn't, so I just put a big extension on this turn, but quickhost stayed on. So if turns come in the game will still go. ----- It is expected, various heat loving nations are taking shots at the lowly Ulmish smiths. Can I get a weekends extension until morning? Init
Oh damn... maybe I shouldn't have said that ;) louist doesn't read this thread anymore though :p
I should note that an A1 mage can do it, but you have to spend gems for him to boost to cast it. Gift of Flight I believe is A2 and Ench2. Of course one cast only afffects one Hydra (the big ones, do you get the little ones too?), so you need multiple mages to handle more than one. Well one mage should handle 2 if they are set to hold and attack, but the targeting can be wonky, since your mage doesn't fly either, he may cast it on himself. Also, if
You can make hydras fly! Well you need A2 mages to do it, but it's a strat other nations use with elephants/mammoths/behemoths. What you can do to your hydras is almost worse though, so I'm not going to tell you... yet ;) Blesses come only from the initial magic paths taken. Losing paths or boosting (empowering, same thing) them does not affect the bless at all.
there's always debate, but EA C'tis is a nation which can effectively use a bless if that's their thing. Dancers are sweet with W9 (and you can take some air to offer some arrow protection), and many sacred summons and mages. Well W9 doesn't matter much to mages, unless you are thuging them. Now I don't know what anyone did, but I do enjoy speculating. It's not beyond the realm of possibilty for C'Tis to take a bless.
By the by... In the interest of 'teaching' let me point everyone here... http://www.llamaserver.net/showScores.cgi?game=DawnOfTheMorning Yeah, nifty little score summary, with numbers instead of graphs like you get in game. No, I'm not giving anything massive away here, some of you may already know this/do this (and it's why s
No takers ehh... Well if anyone sends me 2E this turn, I will send you your 3N next turns since I won't be around to update my turn before it processes. Ulm reminds you all, well mostly for those who may not realize, forge bonus is a good thing. Hammers are a good thing. If you can't make your own hammers (Const2, but need an E3 mage to forge) we can make them for you. At a nominal price even! Suppl
This turn, and this turn only, I will pay 3 N for 2 E! First come first serve!!!
*chuckle* I don't enjoy them either ;) We could work together to get you past this issue though :D Though in one of the last full games I played (I was a 'lame' dual bless Niefel) Caelum stood very tall against me (and my Yomi friend). Amazing what those birds can do with the right research. It was all for naught though, the Jarl SCs fully decked out put an end to those skinny chickens :) &nbs
It may look small, but it's the size people wanted :)
Yep, that should do it. If you have any problems come find me in the chat.
lol... I don't think that's really appropriate for a noob game now... ;)
Also, and this is VERY important! Be sure you delete all the files in your savedgame folder for this game! otherwise there will be problems potentially when you try to run your turn. So if you made a folder called 'Dawn of the Morning' be sure you empty it before you copy the .trn file in to it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/misc.php?do=
AIs aren't that much fun... Either they will get rushed and taken out, or they will be an annoying non diplomatic presence for their neighbors. Anyway, I've got a map fixed up with 8 random starts. Granted I 'know' where the starts are, but I guess you have to trust me that I won't use that to my advantage. And really, I'm going to forget where they are in another hour because that's how crappy my short term
