I agree with a lot of the replies here in part. Here's my take on an answer for the OP. I think when all is said and done Elemental will surpass MoM in every way. In some ways it already does, and in other ways it doesn't. The Magic system needs a Lot of work, as does balance and hooking up proper skills and abilities. Elemental also NEEDS to have a lot more variation on the amounts and kinds of Units in game. There needs to be a Lot More magical units, like Undead (see my Mod <a href

Here's the last update before I finish. Just some last minute screen tests. One of the arms and hands are done as well. Notice the hands. Finger bones for each finger so griping objects looks natural. I got mine in the mail today :). The Map is Awesome!!! The Dragon...is a little smaller than I expected, but still very Very cool. Now I need to find a frame for the map and get it up on the wall. I left the Dragon in it's package because I think it will stay nicer that way (and maybe be worth more in 100 years). Anyway, it's here and the extras from the LE version are WAY WORTH IT!!!!
AI is probably THE most challenging aspect of any game to code/program. I truly don't envy Brad the job ahead of him, but, I'm greatly looking forward to the results of his efforts over the coming months. Granted, the best AI's are the ones who can pose a challenge without Cheating, but, I honestly don't think too many of us would mind having a AI that cheated just a little bit on the Hardest settings. That did it Mormegil, thank you my friend :). Difing it in it's own XML stopped the DDS from over-riding it.
I'll give that a try. I didn't realize the DDS part, thank you :). To try to test it quickly I was just replacing the base texture so I wouldn't have to go through hooking it up in XML since the base file name was already hooked up. I'll try now and report back. Ok, I'm working on some custom skins and I can't get my new one to show up in game and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've gotten skins to show up before so I know How to do it, including how to hook it up in the XML so the game will see it. I made some custom eyes and they show up just fine.
