Ok, just applied the 1.08 Hotfix and I decided to make a new Sovereign. I was deciding what race to make him and I was on the Appearance/Head tab and for some reason almost none of the races have a available choice for hair. The Ironers have 1 hair and a Hat to choose from but none of the other races have any choices at all. I saw that my custom undead race has all the choices I gave them in the XML. Did the new update change any of the XML behind the core races? Did the updat
@Raven X: I just think of it as access to "tamed ley lines". Your sovereign provides access to the global mana pool, being the primary caster. The others who are imbued with power, are granted access to these ley lines and mana nodes through a network of mana that permeates the world.
That's actually not a bad way of thinking about it. There was a fantasy book I read years ago, and sadly I

Did you take out the map seeds to play random seeded maps and forget to put them back? I've started a few games now with the 1.08 update and had quite a bit on the map. It does sound like a bug or something. Have you tried making a few more games and seeing what happens?

Call me a Total War purist if you will, its just my preference, and I believe that single heroes can be balanced against a squad of 80 soldiers. // I'm not saying a hero will always kill 80 soldiers, I'm saying balanced ... as in a really good hero will *actually* be really

Those who think it can't be done, or would somehow 'ruin' or 'hurt' the game, underestimate the skill at SD. I'd also like to thank Raven X for bringing this up. You put a lot of effort into this (and other things) in your attempts to make the game all that it can be, and have gotten a lot of unme

It's is greatly appreciated that so many of you understand how things are with my position especially with all the issues I have going in my personal life. The kind words sticking up for me mean more than you could possibly know. Thank you all.

My initial thought that the tiles could be made bigger (by Stardock) and/or the units could be made smaller (by modelin

As long as the update Doesn't Delete the install folders, and all your Mods files are named something other than the names of the base game files, your mods shouldn't go anywhere. If it Does delete the files like a few of the last updates have, then yes, if you don't back up your Mods you'll loose them if the directories are deleted, so John's on the right track there. Back em up, just in case ;)
