Sounds like a great plan. Make it so :)

You see that. That's a clear statement that Stardock plans to boycott all Microsoft products and ban their mail system. You heard it here first folks... j/k Brad ;)

Hey you stole my idea :P. It's a good idea though. I was hoping they'd go a step further and make different resources in game make different colored armors and weapons. Iron-Steel = Grey weapons and armor Mithril = kinda blueish weapons and armor Bloodstone = Red weapons and armor That would bring a lot to the table for unit design and is relatively easy to do. Just recolor the standard model/skins for the items in game.

I like "Armed Caravans". You'd think guards would travel with most Caravans to protect the goods from wandering monsters and bandits.

Idea's for Resource Types: (Cloth and non metals) Wool: sheep farm requires grazing land Cotton: requires planting fields Leather: made from animal skins (Basic Metals) Bronze: base armor modifier Iron: Better the Bronze Steel: Better then Iron (Rare Metals) Coldstone Ore: Base armor modifier plus Resistance to heat and fire attacks. This Ore gives off a permeating Chill. Lavarock Ore: base modifier plus p

Either option A or C. Perhaps a mix of both. I do think you should change something though. Notice in your example you have items that are made from the various resources and that these items are what is granting the bonuses. I think you should have to research and build these particular items to be able to equip them on your soldiers to make custom units. Just because you control a "twilight bee apiary" doesn't mean you should automatically get the "twilight honey pack". You
There should be as many different resources in the game as possible. That should be a given. Researching them should allow you to use them in various ways. Some resources should be combinable to form other, rarer, resources. Perhaps they can be combined through "Alchemy". The system you have outlined there sounds good to me, But, I don't think units should be allowed to use a technology or resource you haven't researched yet. Another thought, if Resources by Themselves are going to gi

[quote who="Black-Knight" reply="13" id="2396057"] I'm not talking about a "Sovereign Hunt" either. This is for when you kill an enemy Sovereign. This thread is about what's left after they're dead. Alright it is not about teleporting, but the left over armies if they just 'magically' disappear, that is certainly an invitation to go straight to the leader, instead than fighting a military campaign! A new episode of Adult Swim's new show Titan Maximum is on tonight on Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) at 11:30. Check it out, it's funny as hell. It's done by the same people that brought you Robot Chicken and has the same sense of humor. Watch it so I don't have to make fun of you later for not knowing a reference. It's only the second episode. You can watch the first one on the Adult Swims site here: <a href="http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a250aae24003b590124018a16e

BK, no-ones talking about teleporting here :P. This is about Mop Up. I hope teleporting like you're talking about Isn't allowed. If the teleporting of whole armies is allowed in Elemental it should only be from a static Point A to Point B. Not to anyplace on the map you want. That destroys mechanics as you have already pointed out. I'm not talking about a "Sovereign Hunt" either. This is for when you kill an enemy Sovereign. This thread is about what's left after they're dead. <p

[quote who="SavageBananaMan34" reply="3" id="2395290"]Mop up is not just boring but also very anti-climatic. Many players want to live out storybook-style adventures, clutching victory from the jaws of defeat at the last moment, not securing a victory half-way through the game. Things like the master quest or ascension victory from GalCiv 2 accomplish this (in theory). In reality, nobody attempts to secure an ascension victory without already dominating militarily, and probably similarly the
