So, I'd like for some achievements to be included with some cosmetical rewards that show other users (in multi-player) what you achieved. Some new options for the Coat of Arms, Weapons / Armor that looks different, but is the same as the standard version in stats, special mounts, ... Things like that...
Excellent ideas. I agree wholeheartedly.

I am interested to see if this is indeed going to be replaced with the sort of miniature battles you see in MoM. The other options I see would be for each unit to represent an abstract (ala Civ 4) or for each unit to represent a specific number of troops (ala Heroes of Might and Magic). It could be a handy feature for online Leader Boards :)
For a second there I thought he said "I live on Blue's Clue's". :P Seriously though, when it comes to digital distribution, I think there will always be gamers who want a "hard copy" of the games they buy. I'm included in that category. Though I like being able to download my games and save myself the trip to the store I'm always going to want a hard copy in case I get stuc
So I've been playing Risen for the last few days. It's a new RPG that just came out by Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes. It's not too bad over-all. So far it's pretty fun. It has a lot of what I call "Action RPG" elements. You don't just click on a monster and watch your character swing. In combat it plays more like The Witcher or Fable or any other action game. When it comes to talking to NPC's all the text is spoken and you can read subtitles if you like. You can interact with many things
Banned for having a avatar that gives people vertigo.
I still think there should be some kind of contingency plan in case of Sovereign death, but, it should be very rare. We already know there will be some things in game that will be very rare, that we won't run into or find in every game. One of these could be a item that can bring a Sovereign back to life just once. Maybe a powerful spell scroll, or a Genie that will grant a wish to bring back a dead Sovereign. We know Sov Death = Game Over though and Gameplay demands that it stay that way. St
You forgot one. The Mage Tower not in a City by Raven X ;) Excellent idea btw.

I think the more control the players have over various aspects of the game the better. I'm already afraid too many people are going to whine about micromanagement and we'll end up with a watered down kiddie game like Risk. Don't get me wrong, Rick is a good game for a board game, but it pales in comparison to any computer war game, as it should. The key to Micromanagement is to allow Tons of it "If" the player so chooses but to also have an option to let the AI take over aspects of it
It's theorized by many Scientists that when large volcanoes break the surface of the Earth they cause a great disturbance in the Magnetic Field of the Earths crust resulting in a more then normal activity level of Lightning and other atmospheric anomalies. Ball Lightning has even been reported in a much higher frequency then normal around volcanoes and other places where there is a high concentration of metals in the Earth. Some Scientists also suspect when the debris cloud is th
I'm actually used to the "Right Click". I do agree though a "third click" should be added. One click to select the unit, another click to set it's destination, and a third click to actually make it move. This gets rid of the "oops, I didn't want it to go there" aspect. Note: Maybe you should move/post this in the Elemental Ideas section and I'll add it to the list of ideas.
Excellent post. Well done indeed. I'm waiting to see what they do with unit creation before I lay down a list of what "I think" should be basic functionality. Still, pointing it out now as you did can't hurt. Hopefully if they left anything out this thread will show them what they missed. Again, well done.
