'Moral Backlash' is actually a slider in the item editor, so the feature is around 2% done
Even if you end up not having time to do a whole system on it. It can still be left in the code and then Modders can expand on it in the future or later down the line you can add it in to a expansion pack or patch/update. :)
Dude Spartacus is cool, I watched all of the episodes so far, it rivals Rome or even the Tudors in the complexity of the story...
Unfortunately I didn't see Rome or The Tudors though I did want to. I've thought about picking up the seasons of both of those already out but I just don't think I'd have the time to watch them all and catch up to current. I'm about to watch Ep 3 of Spartacus while I eat dinner though. It's a really

Has anyone else been watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand on the StarZ network? I don't actually get this channel on my cable but I've been watching and downloading the shows online. They can be watched for free (Legally) on a web site called Fancast Here . Lucy Lawless is one of the stars of this series. You may know her better as Xena: Warrior Princess. I grew up watching Hercules and Xena and I always thought Xena was hot. Well, in this new
You know how the complete randomness of unit damage in combat part of Civilization 4 completely destroyed the entire game so that I lost all desire to play it any further because I got tired of reloading? And how combat perfectly works in King's Bounty: The Legend/AP? I also remember how randomness in skill selection upon leveling in HOMM5 destroyed the game enough to stop playing it...I still can't get over that. Well,
They are using the Dynasty System for two things: create a sensible way for inheriting the land of another kingdom after its capitulation; and allow for a champion system, by using your sons/daughters as powerful hero-like units. At least this is what leaked so far.
True. Those are the foremost obvious things the Dynasty system does. It does open the door for a lot of other uses though. Either way, I agree with Sov Dea

As far as I know they haven't gone back on the decision to keep Sovereign Death = Game Over. It does bring to mind the question though of why they put so much work and love into the Dynasty system if none of those children will ever become Sovereign's them-selves. In the long run the best thing would probably be a "Heir Option" that you would check at the beginning of starting a Custom game. Also by only allowing this option during a custom game they keep the integrity of Sov Death = Game Ove

Any time we can tie game features together in interesting ways I'll be all for it, and this would be a great way to link item use, spell use, and event driven actions to humanize the NPC's without too much effort. Actually, the m
The job title, "Game Designer" is a very relative term, as I have seen from looking across the internets. Here is my circumstance..... I am in Accelerated Programs at my high school(College courses in high school, AP testing and the rest) and I am an A student(my gpa is 4.3). I am looking for a school to master in game design and I need help looking for the best school in the Dallas/Fortworth Metroplex region for that purpose. I dont even know everything that game
The thing is, sadly, I don't think we are going to see a "loyalty system" in this game. I had actually always planned on having a per-unit loyalty system in the game...where certain spells, items, and actions would have some morality value, and if you start doing things your heroes didn't approve of (too far from their own morality alignment) they would have a chance of leaving. Then, when you get a band of heroes at your d
Hello everybody. Is this game really going to be released next month? I only find early beta videos on Youtube... I really need something to replace Master of Magic. Dominions didn't do it, Age of Wonders II came close, will Elemental cut it? For now, I'll say this - the artwork looks stunning! All the best.
Elemental will indeed be the new MoM for today's generation. I honestly expect it to be just as good if not better
It just doesn’t make sense to foist a beta on the beta group that has quite so things to address still.
That's one of the things I love about Stardock. Even with something as simple and unpolished as a Beta program you care about what that program says about Quality. Quality, even in a beta, is worth waiting for. Keep up the great work.

Fun testing goodness. What kinds of bugs in the spells should we be looking for? Spells that don't work as intended? Try to *break* the map with them, see if we can use them to somehow cheat? Eventually we can look and see if there are errors graphically when raising and lowering land masses but that will require a much later build with the 3D engine.
1) So what’s the problem with that? Plenty. First, it means that the guy who sits on the shards is going to win the game. It really aggravates our biggest pet peeve in these kinds of games – the game being won in the first 10 minutes and then spending the next 2 hours going through the motions. 2) Spells require mana to cast but will also need certain shards (earth, air, fire, water) as well. So a spell may require 200 mana and control of 2 fir

Majesty 2 is ok, but it's no Majesty 1. A good game sure, it just doesn't capture that feel that the first one had for me though.
