Two quick questions... GMT is the time zone given for turn deadline... is the Greenwich mean time? Wraparound map means the top edge is 'adjacent' to the bottom edge, and the left edge is adjacent to the right edge? thanks... EDIT: never mind about map, saw map, understand. my first thought was, "why are all the startups showing? Then I realized, oh, its my startup repeating itself on the wrap around map. Cool Thanx GP..<

Louist, of course, we all commend you for throwing your pretender on that troublesome AI run annoyance. However, might you consider it better to leave the poor AI be, just in case something more annoying is on the other side? Decisions, decisions...

wonderloss: no apology needed, you volunteered to help us. For that I am grateful. And we all have learned from this.

Weinergate? It is very sad, kinda funny, and also a clever and opportunistic use of political 'spin,' misdirection, etc. to distract people from what the politicians are doing to the 'body politic.' It doesn't get more obvious than this...(sad)

Actually, my primary concern was that i did NOT want to rush ghostwes (or anyone else)... ask Ghostwes what I wrote when we discussed starting locations. I could have lied to him, and said i was starting somewhere else, and also said i did not want any NAP with him right now because we were not near enough to have it make any sense. That would have allowed me to show up on turn three or four and wack him. instead, i wanted a fairer start for all of us...

Joe, very funny.. thanks. About discussions, diplomacy. After I died in the elementalist game, and before the announcement of this new game, i discussed diplomacy with several people. They told me the only 'rule' about diplomacy was that you did not come into the game with a pre set alliance. I agree. I discussed gem trades with several players in our game. The nation starts give some indication of gems available out of the gate. I thought it was

Starkers: They are not 'bankers,' they are really "banksters." You might be interested to know that even some ancients Greeks (Classical era) wondered about those 'persons' who came to the agora with 'cash' traded, bought, sold, etc., and left the agora with only cash. (usually more than they came in with...)

Actually there is only ONE province between Ghostwes and I. I liked starting in the corner... but I also don't want to start out boxed in, either...with GW between me and the rest of the map.... .. perhaps I am misinformed? Pleas, might a neutral person take a look at the set up, and make sure we all are spread out somewhat evenly? Appreciated greatly. BTW, GW, thank you for kind comment.

Hi Doc, the plae moon has a version for the althlon chip.. found it on the site in one of the pull down menus. using it now... is faster than IE.. and the old firefox and opera. Still don't understand the "freeze" thingy... but I'm happy to get pale moon.

Hi doc uval, everytime i hit the url you both sent for http: ... palemoon.org/ i get sent to this ... if I type the url (cut paste) it still sends me to this freeze page. It this another redirect malware? Or is MS (im using IE right now because Firefox kept crashing on me) why won't it let me go to the palemoon site, even when url is typed in the window line at the very top? <a href="http://searc

Sorry id this is a considered a dumb question: palemoon, is a web browser? Is 'safer' than IE, firefox. etc.? Is it still available, and, may I ask, where is a 'safe' site to get it from. I'm beginning to not trust search engine results anymore.....

makes sense.... i'm not a modder (except for a tiny bit, a while back with the const set in Oblivion). Having their own 'space' makes it easier to keep from stepping on others toes... sounds like 'new' patch is not worth restarting the game... is fine by me. Is there any way to get the Dom3 manual in a e-format (PDF, word, etc.) to read on the PC? All I can find is the turtotial. Web search doesn't find anything

I still havn't found my Dom3 manual, so, may I sk what the icons/symbols on the map represent: speciffically prov 58, a tent. provs 42, and 77 biped, in blue outline, holding a flute like object prov, two poles, one with 1/2 a face 68, a blue blob,m with several blue sylinders sticking up. thanks for help.. and help with IRC shadowtongue, why would the main modders be the ones banned from shrapnel site? Makes no sense....th

I'm ok with waiting for the patch, or not, whatever the group likes is fine by me. I have never done IRC. This is a chat and/or IM system? IF diplomacy is going to be done there, how do i safely get involved, without all the 'strangers promising candy' IM-ing me?. I'm open to trading gems, etc. The pixypost is open for business[e digicons]O:)[/e]

I recently saw a blurb that indicated a city in Brazil and eliminated all advertisinf sign sin side the city limits. No moe big ads pained on buildings, etc. I think it was San Paulo? Not sure... I was surprised that the city actually was able to take on the marketers.... Oh, starkers.. you are so right. But about some google clients growing a conscience - don't count on it. Clinets are mostly corporations. And coroprat

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. The mouse wheel on my mi=ouse allows me to zoom in and out.... but I don't know of a way to 'set' the zoom level to a user selected value in between the max and mininum zoom levels.

Hi ghostwes, I have thought alot about it, and Wonderloss emailed me about it. I'm crunched for time this week, and don't have time, even with a sat/sun start date, to try and learn another nation. Yomi is just to vulnerable to everyone else's banish spells. So i will stay with Smurfette. Giants are way too expensive to use much, so i have (hopefully) worked out a way to take neutral provinces with a mix of non- giant troops. Worked in SP... we

Traditional military parlance suggests that the attacker needs to have three times the effective 'force' of the defrender to insure victory. Obviously many factors go into determnining 'force.' Defenders usually have a significant advantage. 'Digging in,' etc., is virtually useless in cuttent TC.
