Starting over? initial placement: > If the initial placement does not provide a quality placement for the initial settlement, I regenerate the map. No sense investing a lot of time in a meh set up. Thanks Doc and myfist (BTW - nice to hear from you both - I've been away awhile). Always good to have experienced guides (you 2) help cut through all the info overkill on the web and get directly to effective guides and resources. Thank you so much.

Context is just about everything with humor and translation. When I was taking Geology 101 back in the 70's, we had a TA from "England." He told us how difficult "Yankee" English is for him. He shared what he said was a true story: He was arraigning a group hike to go look at some fossil beds. He told the assistant that he would "knock her up at ." She looked aghast. Seems that in merry 'ol England, "ringing" / "knocking" someone "up" means calling them on the phone / kno

I'm not a fan of Civ 5. I really enjoyed earlier releases in the franchise. Other people really like civ 5. Variety - like it. However, I don't see why all the vitrol over jon's involvement / history. State your opinion, ONCE, and respect others enough to allow them to state their opinion, as well. Then move on... lots of gaming news, etc out there. Just my 2 cents.

Exploits do mess up any game there are in. But like the old 'debate' on whether 'teleportation' spells should be carried over from EWoM to FE, exploits, until 'fixed' by the programmers, may be 'resisted' by the player. Until SD fixes it, just choose to not use the exploit. BTW, yes, henchmen can be exploited, but don't they also Die? (I've only just downloaded FE a day ago - been busy modding Skyrim.

Seluda is correct. Humans are capable (writing metaphorically) of actions/behaviors that ascend to the heights of heaven, AND pull us down to the deepest depths of hell. Faith in any dogma, system (political, economic, and/or philosophical) is fine, up to a point. But when someone so tightly clings to the closed system (essentially circular reasoning) of any of these dogmas, it becomes very easy to use the old "end justifies the means" and find themselves endorsing / using b

"Liz hurley" spell cast? Is that a cast spell or a hurl spell? (for enchanting spears?) @ ed, all in fun, we all need a little silly-ness from time to time. If you search long enough (please don't) you'll find I've made a few typos of my own. One was quite entertaining.

@ calcium and iron. I'm no expert. Somewhere along the way I learned that taking Ca and Iron at the same time wastes much of the benefit. Something about Calcium and iron using the same channels through the cell membrane. Was recommended to take them at different times during the day. Hope this helps, even if only a little.

@starkers re: "our" businessmen exporting jobs to China. The essential problem is that uber-businesses(men/leaders/major stockholders) are no longer tied to / loyal to / care about the country they are from. They have more in common with the uber-rich of other nations than they do with people of their their homeland. The world is their oyster, and we are the grains of sand that make the pearls they harvest possible. They are not "our" businessmen. We have become their

Yes, this is awesome news. I haven't checked all your links yet. I read somewhere, recently, that attaching these types of devices into portions of the brain that don't usually handle vision functions also works. Seems the brain will rewire, (plasticity?) handle it. Is good news for people with some brain damage. Whats next?

I definitely think a "cast cat" spell should be added. Just imagine facing an opponent, and throwing multiple cats at it. Its 'raining cats and dogs'might be a higher level of the spell. JK
