Oh, your suggestions for how to indicate to the user the current toggle status of the 'explore' button are interesting. May I suggest that when the toggle button, for the active/selected unit, is active/on, the button have a nice green CEO froggy smiling?

Some USA citizens, which are designated "enemy combatants" by (unknown somebodies in) the executive branch, are targeted for death via drones (and stealth-mode assets?). So much for "... life, liberty, and [property] the pursuit of happiness..." aspect of the constitution / founding documents. I'm very glad a US District Judge (yea California!) ruled as she did re: the FBI's balk-mailing of so-called 'national security letters.' It is downright scary how far the USA has decayed. When did a "librarian" get this kind of power?

Perhaps IE10 is Microsoft's "I'm sorry" for making Win8?
Explore toggle works. Thanks. Perhaps instructions explicitly stating which buttons are actually 'toggles' might help some players.
Yes, Wizard1956, I did get them, I downloaded both drop box contents. Thank you again. I'm sorry about the earlier comment - I probably did hit the larger button. I'm not accustomed to the deluge of data so many web sites display. In response to my error I researched a bit about why these 'bundles' are in there, and why sites will have a small button (or very hard to see link) that relates to the search thread link, but larger buttons that grab ones attention. I think its all about drivi
All the advice above is good. Expect to get bushwacked a few times. I lost my first 9 games on normal level. There are just so may things to 'balance.' So many interesting (and sometimes 'deadly') choices to make. Just have fun learning how things work, and what synergies work well together - and which ones don't. Enjoy the adventure.
thank you all.... appreciate it... you all are angels. drop box? Cool. wondered what those were for. Thanks again....
this site or, http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl173863/Intel_Cs330.htm will not let you download the driver unless you also accept their tool bar, changing your search engine and home page. If you try to opt out of these 'bundled' items, it greys out the driver download button. So DON"T GO to this site. Not sure why Wiz1956 recommend that site.
Hi Wizard1956, thank you for help. I followed your instructions exactly. When I rebooted my PC, and then attempted to activate the sc300.exe I saw, for a split second, a square window that read, across the middle, in big letters "Loading ..." The bottom left corner of the box had "toggle" written there. Then nothing. This was not the typical windows installer window, but totally different. Windows cant find the driver. Plug n play doesn't find it. Manual find does not find it. All
Yes, ^^^ T is a power gamer. I have played strategy games for over 30 years, and he taught me a new trick!
cool, thanks. i did build a second boat... i will try the auto explore toggle...
One other thing about Tuidjy's game play is that all the stops are pulled out - full steam ahead. I saw tricks and techniques used that even I never thought of. Tuidjy shows a very high level of play.
One suggestion: (this also works with Skyrim, etc.) Every 2 hours, save your game, close the game. Shut the PC down, and then restart (cold reboot your PC). This clears the RAM. The other possibility is to turn off any programs you have running outside your game. FRAPS, etc. Any program running concurrent with your game will use some system resources. Any any system resources used by another program are not available for your game to use. Hope this helps some.

I'm playing the scenario for the first time. I built (/spoiler) the boat and sailed south, did the quest on the island, and no the boat won't go where I move it. It sails of everywhere except near my waiting army. (/spoiler) Is this a bug, or just my system? Oh, its a feature to guarantee sun bathing time on the beach?
You forgot WebGizmos? "Well..." (picture Jack Benny) LOL jk Seriously, thanks... (smile)
Retreating one's army should always be a choice the commander can make. Yes, there should be consequences for attempting to retreat, and consequences for actually successfully retreating. However, the current FE does not allow any retreat except for armies that have and use special spells and scrolls. Concerns: A scout, with high mobility, should be able to retreat from many combats because of relative speed, training, (that's what they are trained to do) and low relative visibility. Es
I cannot find a driver for my intel CS330 webcam. Intel no long supports it. MS does not (surprise!) support it. Does anyone have access to any of the older drivers? I really can't afford a new webcam.
Thanks all for info... been away for awhile, so sorry for late 'thank you"
Silliness interlude begins: FH = Frilly Heroines, (Hermione at Hogwarts) Faulty Halls, (er... Towers) Fantastical Holograms, (Red Dwarf smeghead) your turn, dear reader ....
Some settlements have the edge (where the "walls" would be built) of the settlement lined in red. Others don't. Anyone know what does this signify in the game? Thanks....
Another tool to adjust production output is the tax slider. Changing the tax rate causes the unrest level to change. The unrest level directly affects production output. Too bad the tax level can only be set for all settlements, and not on individual settlements.
