I, too, have seen the command function in several games (even board games back 40 years ago). idea has merit. One suggestion: The heat of battle sometimes beings out leadership. Might a very small possibility for a new leader to emerge in surviving (not necessarily winning) stack upon the conclusion of battle?

Guess I don't feel so 'ancient' now. i pay with cash for everything, except for the very few on line purchases I make (like at StarDock). Why? The convenience of having so many purchases run through a massive electronic data system (credit/debit cards) etc also entails a very significant and increased risk that things may go awry. Both stealing your money, and tracking you activities to improve 'their' profile of you are things I seek to minimize.&n

I did not see x mas listed as a holiday in any of the kingdom profiles. I haven't played any empires (yet). Is xmas a holiday for the Empires? Whats xmas like there? Is this what the DLC is about? :)
Lies! Everyone knows that 4X games are dead!
Yes, and to show our respect for a time honored friend of the community, the dearly departed 4X game, we should hold a memorial service ... Oh, wait, never mind! Already held one eight or nine times already. "never mind" :)

Fallout3 mod “like a diamond in the sky” ran very smoothly (10 + hours real time) until game first loaded 'core' (an area) while I was still in drainage opening 'door' to core. Prior to this mod ran like a dream. I followed best practices for this mod/game: Did FO3 master update, have merged patch, auto saves turned off - game/mod ran very smooth until now. I'm in core and game repeatedly CTD - like every 90 seconds, especially when I touch an activator (open a

Ah, Seth, how can a piece of computer code be a "bio-hazard?" I think you just don't want to share! Next thing you will write is that DNA is really base 4 coding? And all that is needed is for DNA (RNA, opps base 5?) to ......zzz...zzz...zzz......zz assimilating base pairs... disconnect from server...

Driving to Buffalo, NY to meet my oldest daughter for lunch. Besides that, just writing, learning blogging, and researching how to do recordings of game play, vids of RL for YouTube, etc. with the intention of doing a weekly show. Don't have to worry about family as I live alone. Mostly good.

I agree. The franchise has come along way. Additionally, SD showed that they produced a lemon and for many per-release subscribers, let us trade in our lemon (EWOM) for the new model (FE). Very, very few companies would do as did SD in similar situations. SD has my trust and loyalty because of this.

Just for fun. Was watching Hobbit 2 (Desolation of Smaug) and one of the Dwarves (Gimi, I think) actually takes an arrow to the knee. Share where an "arrow to the knee" has blindsided you?

Yes, CNET and majorgeek are both good. BTW, I am also interested in making vids of what my PC shows, like when I am playing aPC game, or running an application.

Beginning research into what PC resources I need to produce decent quality videos (with sound) for distribution on the web: probably YouTube and or my blogs. Also interested in doing a once a week web radio show. Any one with quality advice on what resources (software/hardware/web-ware) I might explore. Search results on the web bring back so much... and I cannot tell the chaff from the wheat. Thanks in advance.
