Edit one. All 4 cd installed successfully on D drive. Graphics and char gen works fine. Made archived copies of the two install folders, and now I will install easy tutu. Basically, tutu allows a user who has Balder's Gate 1 and 2 installed to create a third folder with a version of Balder's gate 1 using the improved graphics and game play changes of the Balder's Gate 2 engine/game. EasyTutu is the most mature, and robust version of Tutu a

Since several people have expressed an interest my retro gaming I am setting up a separate thread so as to not derail the games we are looking forward to in 2014 thread. I never played Balder's Gate or IceWind Dale . They are classics which have influenced modding in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout universes. So I'm looking forward to them in 2014. Just received the disks and I'm installing them. Issues relate to old games runni
Fukushima and US: Quote from document/site SivCorp mentions: " The investigation included more than 900 hours of hearings and interviews with 1,167 people. The commission also made nine visits to nuclear power plants, including the Fukushima Daiichi plant. After their six-month-long investigation, the investigative panel concluded that the accident was the result of “collusion” between the government, the regulators and the Tokyo Electric Power Co., and the &
As the Titam seems to be "Men" -race, I'd like to use Karavox's ability on it
That is so evil. So incredibly, elementally evil. I like it. Lots. :) :) :)
Oh? really cool. LH has something skyrim doesn't. way cool.
( humor break) Solylent green? Umm it is a 'green' food, by definition, yes? :) (end humor break)

Easiest way is go to GoG and buy them there. Running old disks (bought originally upon release, some bought later due wear&tear/damages), could require certain shaman rituals, and games still could have problems in performance, o
Here is a link to the article about the salt using nuclear reactors I mentioned earlier. http://www.triplepundit.com/2012/04/liquid-fluoride-thorium-power-pros-cons/ This article is part of a series that attempts to give the pros and cons of each type of energy 'solution' that's on the radar. The author admits his bias (unlike many other pundits) and seems to cover all the
New: GalCiv3 (out there), Fallout4 (Cambridge, MA?). Pld, but I never played: Waiting for a friendly drone to deliver Balder's Gate 1,2,(4 cd set) and Icewind Dale (3 cd set) - and researching how to sat them up to play.
Not to get political, but much of the resistance to solar and other alternative energy sources is the ease by which such sources of energy harnessing can be decentralized - and thereby not as easily controlled by a centralized entity for 'sale' at a profit. Our economic model favors generating (sorry for pun) repeat customers. Using fossil fuels guarantee repeat customers, and sets up a dependency - but once a solar / wind / etc. energy harnessing device is in place - the dependency is signif
May they find/create the cure very soon...
Yes, fear of spiders has its impact on many games. Skyrim (vanilla) has some really gruesome giant spiders. Some even have personal names.. LOL (er.. ROFL?) One of the first mods that came out was a mod that changed the appearance of spiders to that of bears. The silly part was that these bears hung out in webs and descended form the ceiling in a most un bear like fashion. In nay case, fear of Spiders is very widespread - so you are in good company. Me? Spiders are Ok. I wish someo

My pet refuses to pose for a photo... should I take a photo anyway?
Nice thing about the Chud is they prefer basements to attics... no altitude sickness...
Wagner? Ride of the Valkeryes? :)
The sad 'underside' of this disaster is it was preventable. There are a number of alternative approaches to harness usable energy from nuclear fission that are much safer. Some, like the salt model, can't produce a chain reaction, even if you do really stupid things to the reactor. Oak Ridge explored a number of these approaches just after WW2. The USA decided to use the hot (current) model because the 'cold war' required more nuclear weapons grade materials, and the current nuclear generatin
Heavenfall, wish I had waited to get Endless space. You are a good guy for passing the coupon on... :)
I would give you karma, but I'm stark out of karma.... :O or am I?
Good to see you again Starkers... happy sailing!
So the researchers are also running in circles and chasing their tails (metaphorically speaking)? :)
Way cool!
Quoting ElanaAhova, reply 20 wow, cardinaldirection, I had no idea someone actually did this. Sega rocks (diplomatically speaking). Does the UN know about the boards? that's a great question. to be honest, "fall of babyl, rise of glyph: an international logographic language" is a paper i started writing years ago, that's now turned into more of an unf
