@ sydneysiders yes, when you name your cat, "cat," kinda easy to seem telepathic. :)

My favs Long time favs: Snoopy red baron Xmas bells (@nick-danger) Mel Tormae - Xmas song. (@Philly0381) a new fav? @DP cloud Hilarious, Reverently traditional style. Visual: Trinity of Icthus fish on left, adorning the tree, is wonderful comedic touch. @redneckdude Let it snow = make it so. WOW.. love it.
More humane ... :)
Tried it. Eerily accurate responses for first 6 or 7 responses. Then failed when it got to the 8th entry, and continued to fail to end of PW. Interesting 'experiment,' lets hope a phishing version of this doesn't pop up on the web!
MY two most favorite games of all time are Sid's Alpha Centauri and Civ 4 / Fall from Heaven2. Both have factions that are really distinctive in actual game play, tactics and strategy. Silly me, forget the actual factions. in fall from heaven, i really like the Sheam (spelling) and the one that allowed captured settlements to keep their cultural identity. Alpha centauri, I loved the gainas... green and all, and the university. With the expansion I
Algonquin park! Brings back memories. 40 years ago four of us went kayaking deep into the park. Water was safe to drink - even without any chlorine. Was a cliff that you could high dive off of. The sounds, the aromas, and the numerous little surprises by the wildlife... wow. And the panoramas. Well worth the drive from Buffalo, NY. Lifelong memories of the awesome variety.
Favorite game: GalCiv2. Future hopes? GalCiv3.
Thank you all for your thoughts. Went with the Dragon... I consider my request for advice fulfilled. :)
Whos that tapping at my window?
Frogboy, CEO: Your leadership of SD in the gaming arena, particularly related to the Elemental franchise (now Legendary Heroes) is a shining example of the best in managing the relationships between gamers (consumers) and the corporate team that "makes it so." You example should be the role model for all CEOs all around the world. All the best!
Dragon Dictation software - better price at Amazon than at company's black Friday 'sale' price. nice.
@ Thanks myfist and doc re dragon. I had a version of Dragon naturally speaking a year after it came out - before nuance was part of the name. It was dreadful - and when the company phoned me about getting a newer version - I expressed my misgivings. The agent on the phone was quite rude, would not address my concerns, etc. I offered to take the new version on a trial basis -and was told, flat out, "no." So I have taken their ads with a quite large 'grain' of salt. I have seen the sit
Cool. Basically, you use the damage from a distance, evade until target losses interest, rinse, repeat. Classic! My character is almost always a breton - I like the mana/magic bonuses.
Why do I shop? I'm with webgizmos.. only buy what I need (except for PC games...). I don't watch commercial TV and I switch to a different browser when an ad comes over the web. Many purchases are via the web (no sales tax, best price) and little down side as local stores don't service what they sell anyway. Why do we shop? Lets re frame the question: Why do most people in USA / Western societies shop in the manner they do? Because the 60 year old
I'm finally breaking down and getting software (PC) that will allow me to dictate long texts. Think short story length texts. I have read the ads, and scoped out google/binged results. Those of you who have actually used such software please share your advice, experience, etc? This will asssit me in making a good choice. Thanks all in advance. :)
Bears? Only if LordKia gets to use them as cavalry.
I am much more interested in the don't shop on thanksgiving.
servers are abroad? Now I understand... that would violate the NSA's mission mandates. :)
i like the idea of outposts being built by a different unit than settlers. Perhaps a military unit?
(made me smile big, you did, doc.) (Frogboy, nicest, thanksgiving card I have ever seen/received! Epic!) Thankful for....... Life!
Yes, cloudy alot here in upstate NY as well. Daiwa, awesome video, thanks!
Wow, so many excellent choices! ...and not enough time...

Since the NSA has all this info - why can't they shut down the spammers?
Bladerunner: the ultimate expression of [other] human beings as disposable. All the above choices have great merit - and one theme unites them(except the road). In each vision, a gang of 'humans' enslaves the rest using various appendages of the government to amplify/enforce the intentional and systematic use of language to obscure rather then clarify the shared reality. Did i spin this well? :)
