The problem is that we don't have any access to scripts or way to input new code. The only way in, so far, is through XML. So basically, we are in a situation where you can either do it through XML, or you can't do it. We can also make new 3d models, textures, maps, tile designs, effects, and alter size of UI, but none of that necessarily helps you. So the first step would obviously be to turn dynasties on in elementaldefs.xml. What was said when dynasties was removed was that

@devs I had a similar issue in FE when working on a mod, maybe it can be of some assistance. The issue was basically that because the texture was completely empty, the game instead used another texture sometimes. I notice the texture used for the wisp body is in fact empty. Maybe you are seeing the same issue.
@BernieTime Angels - why? Those are perfectly good options for heroes imho. Centaur - most bloodlines get an option for heroes to boost their baby-sitting stuff in cities. Drota - Maybe, I'll think about it. Frost Giants - Their special ability is their real strength, an overpower attack deals +50% damage per every member in a target troop above the first 2. So if you use it against a 5-member unit, you are looking at 250% damage (+150). Shado
Planetary Annihilation isn't going to solve this "problem" because it is so fundamental to what an RTS is about. And by the way, if you visit the forums you'll find the same idea - PA won't be micro intensive, you don't have to worry about mechanics as much as you would in sc2. Frankly, I find the whole argument a bit delusional. At the competitive level, micro will always be a factor because it is a real time strategy game. At best, you will simply have micro
I never had a strategic permanent buff, because there was no way to accomplish that through XML. And even if I did, I wouldn't use it. The Legion is supposed to be difficult to fight against due to their incalculable bonuses. If the bonus can be seen in the strategic view, it can be countered. Chaos Legion is much better, I'll change it to that.
BlackRainz, I realize my previous comment was poorly worded - it wasn't clear what reply I was responding to. You are more than welcome to make an adaption of the mod to include with your own work. Just like Stormworld, Children of Storm will be released under a "free-for-all" license for as much of it as is possible. However, I don't have any plans to give paths to my sovereigns to lock them in. I don't think it's a very gameplay-friendly approach.
That's going too far, in my opinion.
This is a typical issue when you add more traits for unit design. There's not actually anything preventing Ongr from appearing in the trainable units list, EXCEPT he has too many traits to normally appear (max 4).
These are the hero traits for the trait trees. Specific factions will have their own traits and races will also have traits for unit design - like they did in Stormworld.
You can use AIPriority to prevent the AI taking things.
Haven't found a way to do that. But I guess you could technically block all the traits of a path instead of the path. The player could choose the path, but it would be useless.
+1 vote from me for proper pre-battle placement. The rest is just stopgaps and increasingly obscure ideas for how to make the current system work. It doesn't. We need placement. It doesn't have to be complicated. Just assign 12-30 thingies to each tactical map and have us be able to move our units from any square to any square, clicking on an existing unit switches place.
I will never understand how a high level hero can't swim
Actually, it makes perfect sense since most people couldn't swim if you go back ~200 years in history and beyond. Heck, even sailors commonly drowned when they fell overboard - it was simply not a skill people learned (other than the odd noble or the lower class fishermen).
I'm not sure if this is what you asked, but I don't want to include it in Children of Storm. I'm trying to keep it as much "mine" as possible - not that it is all mine. I'm using your elven skins and your zombie skin, for example. And thank you for that. But to include the XML would mean it has to be updated, and it has to follow the same standards and formats as the other factions in the mod. And, ultimately, it's an aesthetic choice; I don't necessar
Welcome back! There's no conflict, although Children of Storm will feature a re-done undead faction from Stormworld.
Ups, it was meant to be research production, not gildar.
List of race-specific traits below. The - means it's first-row (requires only bloodline) and -- means it's second row and requires the one above it. First number is required level. Angel - no mount, +1 Dodge per air shard, +1 Initiative per fire shard, +1 Spell Mastery per water shard and +1 Spell Resistance per earth shard in combat, Fly (low mana cost) - teleport unit to free square on map. - 3 - +1 Move, +2 Initiative -- 8 - if faction controls 3 life shards, gain
First! Can't wait to beta-test the LH scenario.
I don't think I'll be buying one for myself unless the cost comes down and it becomes very simple to use. Maybe if my kids get into miniature gaming, then I think it'd be very useful. I see it as a hobbyist thing to have in your home, anything you really want can realistically be ordered off the internet anyway. My opinion is that this would be true for >99% of the people, the way 3d printing is right now. Although it would be neat to print out some 3d models I have mad
Quoting WhiteElk, reply 20It's been two months with no update. Is FE dead like WOM? not dead. Just hibernating. If I were to guess, I'd say that SD is going to backport all the balance changes and bug fixes back to FE once LH is released. I hope that's what they plan anyways...cause I like FE better. Well, to be fair I like almost all the new stuff they added to LH (Fame, Hero
Awwwwwwwwwww shieiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttt's about to get real real in here.
It was in the E:WoM manual, not exactly secret but I guess not well known either.
The Cataclysm In the great confrontation between the combined might of the Titans and the entire host of the West, the gateway device was destroyed while in the midst of opening a portal and the resulting blast was so vast that the seas poured separating the remaining east and west from one another. It also laid the lands in waste. This became known as the cataclysm. The Titans were gone but so were the Kingdoms.
Mother of all Retcons! What happened to the go
It MAY be a product of its production requirements. In FE they had a specific tag telling the game how much they cost - now it's gone.
As surprising as it may sound, this is actually not possible right now.
