I'm digging in! Edit: I see you've started to include a tutorial. A lot of things in the game need to be explained. For example: - what is the difference between forsaken land and fertile land? Does it affect me? I don't get it. If cities automatically expand fertile ground, then it doesn't seem like it has any gameplay effect at all. - what is the difference between my capital and every other city I build? - how many spells can I learn? what lim

I prefer them scaling as I zoom. I want to be able to see what they are when I look at an overview of the area.
I don't think there will be any saving mid-fight or auto-resolving in a war with China. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
If a village has a 100 pop, that doesn't mean 100 people are going to reach for their pitchforks when a hostile army is around the corner (I know you didn't say that). If this is a time of war, people should be used to their cities changing ownership every once in a while. And to a peasant, one master is rarely worse than another. If a tiny army invades a city, it just means that the peasants have heard about the vast forces commanded by whoever that tiny army represents. As f
Frogboy takes the relationship with players very seriously. I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't make an august release, and very surprised if it wasn't on the date specified.
Any negative review of the game at retail will make the game look a hundred times better than what the beta is now. If you're looking for a gaming experience, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking to give feedback, you're in the wrong place (until beta 3 starts).
In conclusion, I would just like to add that everything is overpowered, except what I use.
I feel that champions with research bonus just got boosted in value! Like "get one and win".
Woot I had to google hotseat to find out what it was! The more you learn.
No, you won't see the complete game before release. Specifically single player campaign will be unveiled only at release.
I don't think it will be anywhere near that much. However, everything I've said is guesswork, more or less. Just wait for release if you're unsure about the game and the content of the game.
As I understand it, adventure stuff means you'll get boosts to heroes, that you can spawn new sorts of heroes in your are randomly, and it also affects what those random heroes will do - some might trip that tombstone summoning a ghost army, someone else might unleash a dragon from its lair, someone might find a sword hidden in rubble (edit: a BETTER sword heh). I could be wrong.
And from a 'realist' point of view, it's also unnecessary: someone and his cows can easily walk 20km a day to go to the slaughterhouse, and these medieval/post-apocalyspe towns won't be 20km large, more like 2 or 3. No need for the slaughterhouse to border the cattle ranch! Same with people moving grain with waggons.
I remember when we were on a roadtrip and in Austria, there we
I must strongly voice my opinion AGAINST a building next to a farm that makes the farm output much more. Right now, chasing down farms/honeybees/oasis (oasises?) is an important part of the game to feed your megacity. However, we already have the Granary which can only be built once a city has completed a farm (adds 25% to all food production in that city). We also have a global upgrade from research that increases garden from 1 to 2 food. I guess my point is that one farm alr
Are you guys afraid you will spoil the game by playing it in its early iterations as it is and knowing the inner workings? I'm so torn to help out but dont want to spoil the game.
Absolutely. I RUINED demigod like that. Played it tons in beta, then when it was released I just wasn't that excited. I still remember demigod as rather buggy and unfinished, even though I know I remember beta and not retail. Beta-damaged.
The scrollbar needs to be made larger or more obvious or something as well when choosing tech. I'm on 1920x1200 and it took me hours until I found out sometimes I can choose between up to 9 different thingies.
EA doing an MMORPG on a franchise already established in the "west"? You must be dreaming if you think it will not see release here. Meh. I'm glad to see a DK game, even if it stinks. If you aren't interested, don't buy it.
Yeah, I kind of have to ask the same thing. Seems like all i need to do is boost up my main hero and attack their village and its over. No need for units or champions. No need for any city at all, actually.
Awesomeness? ;( One feature I would pretty much have to insist most kindly on for a DK3 would be different weapon upgrades for the gits. In fact overall 3d models that change gear and change visuals because of it. Edit: Hmm... an mmorpg from the dk universe? I'd have to see it to believe it? We were never the heroes. Are we bad guys raiding the good guys' bases? Or good guys raiding the bad guys' bases? Or do we stand guard all day as bad guys in the bad guys' dungeons?
I just got my order e-mail, and I can now see it in impulse.
when they handled demigod they rolled out the beta keys from preorders over a couple of hours because they couldn't handle them all at the same time
I'm completely calm. I'm completely calm.
Interesting... it sounds like our own ideas of how elves are shape how we feel about them. Alright, obvious statement is obvious. I guess my point is, I would hate elves too, if that's how I saw them. But I don't. I always liked how high elves were portrayed in the warhammer fantasy setting. A really old race with very firm traditions and a determination you can break mountains with. Highly skilled in the arts of war, but never above petty squabbling. A civilization and
Plus, as beta testers, we never really know how many hours have gone into "unfinished" work. They could be a day away from a complete magic system, but are choosing to focus on something else right now.
No elves?! I QUIT!
