In nearly all cases, things are disabled because we’re in the process of hooking the AI up to them which introduces stability issues that would complicate the public beta.

Maybe these were Beta1 guys who already got it. And i pre ordered like 10 days ago. So, do i have to wait for a serial key email?

I am pretty sure they are supposed to mail it to you... but that has not been the case for me yet.

when they handled demigod they rolled out the beta keys from preorders over a couple of hours because they couldn't handle them all at the same time

Does that mean my archers will shoot first b4 my infantry is engaged or does it just combine attack points?

I guess if its supposed to turn into a turn based strategy battle it means each unit will fight individualy, archers and spellcasters can usually hit first due to range weapons, and then the math will work out.
Your archers will engage first and keep firing until the enemy closes.

Of course, if you're all archers and the other guy had mounted warriors, you'll get murdered.


 

Do combinations of units have a greater strength than the sum of their parts?

Are there plans to include specific combinations that are extremely effective?  gestalt style?

This should not matter since we will be fighting the battles on the tactical map (unless this has change which I really hope it has not.)

To me allthis means is that when the tactical battle comes up you will see your archers firing and see the Inf in the field and you can order each one to do his thing. I really hope this won't be some dumb cut to scene movie where the PC fights the whole battle for you. If so then I'll not be playing the game. For me tha tactical combat is the most important part of the game.

I confirm that Beta 2 is now available for existing Beta 1ers.... If you are Beta 2 hang in there- it was a few hours after Beta 1Z came out that most people got their emails.

I preordered Elemental back in April (maybe March, I can't remember), because it sounds awesome. I wanted to get in the beta and was willing to wait until the next major release, and understand the way real betas work and all.

 

So I submitted my order and went about my business, checking the site occasionally for news about an upcoming beta.

 

During the last week of May, my bank had some sort of issue, cancelled everybody's cards and issued new ones (you can see where this is going).

 

Just now, I get an email that my order failed.

 

I'll gladly fix the payment method and re-place the order for the game, but I'd like some assurance that I won't be locked out of the beta for 2 more months because it took you guys two months to charge me for my purchase the first time.

Quite a pain indeed,expected them to charge immediatly I would have been fine with it but oh well,just got more money in the credit card but doubt they'll charge me since it says to resubmit my order.
