So what will Adventuring be like?

There was an old D&D Serria game call "Brithright" that had both a strategic and adventure mix, when your characters when adventuring you were taken to different maps and played like an RPG, sort of like Ravenloft  or the old Might & Magic. I don't remember Adventuring in MOM, you just wondered around the same strategic map.

So what will adventuring be like in Elemental?

I've been wondering this myself.  I really hope we will be to actually explore dungeons.

I think frogboy said something of the sort a while back.

Funny, I was just wondering this myself this evening.

I'd like to be able to explore dungeons, that at least have some size to them. Even levels, perhaps? We'll see. I have no idea even what's feasible for these places at this point.

IIRC explorable dungeons will be added later on. IE. We won't be able to explore dungeons in the retail version [v1.0].

I've always thought that this game was pretty heavily influenced by the Birthright setting. Isn't it?

As I understand it, adventure stuff means you'll get boosts to heroes, that you can spawn new sorts of heroes in your are randomly, and it also affects what those random heroes will do - some might trip that tombstone summoning a ghost army, someone else might unleash a dragon from its lair, someone might find a sword hidden in rubble (edit: a BETTER sword heh).

I could be wrong.

I just wondering how much of an RPG feel will the game have when Adventuring. In Birthright, the RPG part was about 50% of the game, where you spend just as much time Adventuring as you did on the strategic map.

I don't think it will be anywhere near that much.

However, everything I've said is guesswork, more or less. Just wait for release if you're unsure about the game and the content of the game.

Hopefully we will see this in the beta long before the release, I've never seen a beta like this where you only see bits and pieces of a game at a time. I wonder will we even see the complete game before it's release?

Adventuring does have dungeons but they operate like Inns. You don't leave the strategic map. Rather, you get more involved, more interesting quests.

No, you won't see the complete game before release. Specifically single player campaign will be unveiled only at release.

Is the plan to add explorable dungeons in an xpac or is that out the window?

I'm fairly sure that mods will be able to add something like this in.
