jeffqytz2 while I appreciate you going through the XML, but you'll find a huge amount of issues like those. The only ones I care about are the ones that actually affect the gameplay. In your post that would be these
drota_specialimprovements.xml - lines 31/48 (kennels) and 60/77 (stables) - the amount of food specified in the description does not match the number specified in the gamemodifier (off by 10 in each case.) lines 36-58 - the "Shadow_ShardDu

Ah-ha! I know that stone arc in from Elemental! Expansion/sequel confirmed? Or is it for another game... time will tell!
The first day on the job, Adam Biessner will walk in with a poster depicting a crosshair covering Frogboy's face. As time goes by, he will throw arrows onto the poster for each of Frogboy's gaffes. I expect you won't be able to tell it's a poster at the end of the second year.
There's something like a seer sage (shown when research finishes), and you need a trader (what to use for caravans) as well. Also you probably want generic sovereigns and normal generic units so the player can create new ones of those.
For a faction you just need a raceconfig, and maybe a sovereign if you want to be able to select it / fight it.
Interesting! If google decides to sell this theoretical browser identifier, it will still mean an increase in the cost of ads (just not for google). It seems like quite a clever way to take control of the third party cookie networks. But it would only work for people using Chrome - so it does indeed seem like a very good reason to ditch Chrome and head over to Firefox.
Uploading 1.3c now, changelog http://childrenofstorm.wikidot.com/versions It's the fixes for the issues you guys have reported, so thanks for that. There are a couple of minor changes as well but only things that affect gameplay in the log. Pollaxe is a valid synonym for poleaxe. Unfortunately it is not possible to make the reliquary items unique, however the Reliquary itself is an extra-dimensional time-tra
I remember 1996. Color wasn't invented yet. Everything was in shades of grey. We couldn't tell if the sky was blue or not.
Not that anyone cared, because noone understood the concept of blue anyway (except some egghead scientists).
The title of this thread is confusing. You only need to worry about compatability with CoS if you are using it. Also, my mod overwrites a lot more than just units, monsters and heroes. Spells are overwritten in: COS_OVERWRITE_corespells.xml CoreSpells.xml tokensummon_Overwrite.xml Various item overwrites in: coreSPECIALEQ.xml vsUnitType_Overwrite.xml CoreForests.xml complete overwrite in: CoreForests.xml Coregoodiehuts i
Yes, of course. Check out http://childrenofstorm.wikidot.com/#toc6 for what can and can't be used in the future.
Aye, they are not supposed to be able to wear armour.
There are actually quite a few differences, but they are subtle (mostly recolourings) and I totally get why people miss them. Anyway, the factions all have their own leather armor, and the other armor used by normal units come in around 5 variations not including the faction's colouring on them. So the reason we have this somewhat lackluster visual representation of the faction differences is that we have customizable units. In a game with only pre-designed units, like Might and M
Derek Paxton Named Stardock VP, Studio Hints at New Projects http://www.rtsguru.com/article/6585/Derek-Paxton-Named-Stardock-VP-Studio-Hints-at-New-Projects.html
As part of the job as VP, he'll be overseeing all future development and game production. Just what that development includes will start to become clearer next month. Not possible.
Make sure that you have particle effects turned on in options. That's the only thing I can think of.
Are you sure you're changing the difficulty of the AI, and not just the world? They are different settings. When I play against ridiculous enemies it is impossible to make any kind of treaty because they demand thousands even in the early game.
Well, that really makes me excited for the next expansion. I recall that Diablo 2 was bad before the expansion as well.
I would be surprised if it wasn't double that. These MOBA type games are growing like mushrooms, and there's no telling where their roof is. Even small-time games like SMITE are reporting continuous growth. Dota2 is backed by the wealthiest PC game retailer in the world, and they have shown serious conmmitment to the product.
league of legends and dota are played by more people than every game you can think of combined. good luck modding that
You are saying there are currently more people playing Dota2 and LoL than every other game combined? I'd like to see you back that up. Including consoles, "social media / facebook" games and online gambling, I seriously doubt Dota2 and LoL comes even close to that. I mean, dota2 right now has 400k pl
It's not either or, it never has been. You can make a great title with SP modding, and you can make a great title with MP, and you can make a great title with MP modding. Stardock chose to go for SP modding because it was the best use of their resources. I believe Stardock at one point said something along the lines of them spending 40% of their coding hours for multiplayer in E:wom, and the result? The Multiplayer bit was horribly underdeveloped (no quests, no tactical combat, la
My favourite is the weekly "we disabled your account because someone from china tried to guess your password" e-mail from paypal or google. I'ma just throw this out there, but wouldn't it make more sense to change my account name instead?
@StevenAus I'll fix that next release. @Mistylicious7 Sorry, that's probably a limitation of using 32-bit OS. You can try playing smaller maps, that might work.
Well my 2c... my preference for DLC is anything that is hard or impossible to mod into the game. So stuff like Monsters, Units or Equipment.... *specifically those that have new models* are the best thing for DLC. Basically anything that is not just xml, because we can do that ourselves (for the most part).
Seems like those are amongst the easiest things to mod into the game. [e digicons][/e]

Thanks for the reports, I'll fix it up for next release.
