Yeah, Apple products are pretty amazing in how easy they are to use. For the iphones and tablets, a 5-year old can use it and a 75-year old can use it. Anecdote incoming. My parents recently retired and had to get non-work cellphones. My dad picked up a Samsung running android, and my mom an iphone. Dad's had nothing but troubles trying to sync calendars and had to go back to the store 6 or 7 times just to get everything working on the cellhone (internet, e-mail). He spent days tr

I also seem to recall that Blender, the freeware 3d program, has some game possibilities. I haven't checked on it in about 8 years, but you may look at if someone has released things like this using blender before.

Interesting! I don't know of any "engine" off-hand that allows for this kind of customization (I'm assuming you want to do much more than what is possible in a mod). I think Alien Swarm was released as open-source - it's a top-down third person action shooter kind of thingy. With a lot of work that might be something you can build on.

Well, for this game you'll need to get Steam into offline mode. Once it is in offline mode it should stay there. Then you shouldn't have any problems with connecting to steam because it won't. This is all assuming you have activated FE:LH once on steam - it will need to connect to steam for that.

You can include the new unitstats yourself, but I'd rather you didn't have the same file name on purpose (since that may give me problems with updating it for users later on). IsCelestial should work, ImmuneToFear also, IgnoreMaul was scrapped in FE:LH I think. Angels in CoS are not immortal, they are humans given wings thousands of years ago. Although they probably still live much longer than a human would due to their affinity to magic powering their bodies.

No, it isn't very good, but it is a bit of fun . Pick it up at a sale is my verdict.

A game I've been following for a bit just started its Kickstarter today: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tynansylvester/rimworld It appears to be a Dwarf Fortress-inspired storyteller/citybuilder game set in a sci fi setting.

Correct, I've talked to Derek Paxton about this but there's no resolution in sight. Unfortunately I can't just include them since that'd be giving away DLC content in a mod that doesn't require the DLC. As for 2 mods installing the library, no problem there. The game will load the latest version if there are several installed. At this point CoS and the unitstat library are in "maintenance mode", meaning I'm not developing it further but k
I have read on CNBC that stocks are hardly ever affected, historically. So economically it doesn't matter, statistically. Maybe this time is different.
An economy is so much more than just the price of stock on the public stock markets. The estimates I've read seem to put the total GDP loss at somewhere between 0.15% and 0.5% per week of shutdown. My personal opinion is that those numbers would

I always wanted to get into the tabletop. But really who has time for miniature games nowadays? I wish I was 12 again... ... the game looks interesting. I'll pick it up for sure when it is released.

I don't particularly care for the move to activating a thousand special abilities for my units in every fight. I think there's a mod that removes all that, but then what do you have left? There's no tactical feel to the game. Just bunch 40 units into one area and zerg every city. And yeah, authority, zeal, what the hell is all that doing? I don't even know if it is good to have in tactical or strategic. The strategic part is way too slow with too much time wait
