I just can't beat that game. I like how my character looks, a big king with a huge sword. But in the first fight, when the intro is over, I pretty much die right away.

Actually, accuracy and dodge are both very important stats. For example, -9 accuracy (the difference between claymore and great scimitar) can almost cut your chances of hitting the enemy in half. To say that they perform "just as well" with or without those modifiers is simply not true. Again, I agree that the great scimitar is too strong - it's just not as strong as you make it out to be.
I'll send a PM to kael. edit: [quote] Hey, I'm not sure you're the right person to send this to, but I think you can appreciate the situation we're in. Wincustomize is Stardock's "warehouse" for skins and whatnot for Windowsblinds amongst other things. It is also the place users are linked to when they visit elementalgame.com and click "Mods" and then "Other". As a result of this, us modders have taken to upload
I don't think there's a specific need for a windmill anywhere. Use your imagination, judging by your other tiles that's something you're great at.
I think there's a goodiehut in ACP that gives you a one-time bonus to spell research. Impinc should know.
I added a mediafire link to the original post.
This is how it used to be (negative combatspeed on heavy armor), and it was pretty damn boring to be honest. To get a heavy armor dude working, you had to use a mount and some charms and weapons with added combatspeed. Anyway the AI had no idea how to attack the problem.
Can you give the example in code (use quote)? Maybe techs only work with multiple prereq techs if the prereq techs are available from inside the techtree type assigned to the faction.
Since apparently people are getting blocked from downloading mods from Wincustomize (and asked to pay a subscription!), I'd like to start a discussion on whether or not we should switch to an alternative. Edit: They seem to get blocked after downloading x amount of mods or mb. It seems contradictory to me that Wincustomize would limit what we are trying to share, as it is literally free upgrades/extensions to their products (wincustomize = stardock). If there is a bandwidth cost invol
1. The slum is NOT an upgrade to the house. For kingdom: hut (25) -> house (40) -> villa (60) For empire: hovel (30) -> house (50) then there is a separate improvement called Slum, that takes up FOUR TILES, uses two food and allows 120 people to live in the building Kingdom has better possibilities here, empire has worse. 2. The great scimitar makes the wearer lose both dodge (-3) and accuracy (-3). In contrast, the claymore make
Until recently I wasn't aware that it limited downloads. I'll update to a secondary source as well in the future. I use wincustomize because that's what is linked from the elementalgame.com website, which means more exposure for the mod.
1) Those actions cost 2 AP 2) As a result, the unit will be unable to counter-attack
That's pretty much what I had in mind for the shadow scout. Unfortunately, it isn't applicable to anything but ranged units at this time.
There is a world of difference between auto-resolve and normal tactical combat. Units don't appear to need to move, for one thing. This can cause a high combatspeed unit to attack and wipe out every enemy unit in one turn (or archers to become completely useless). Another big difference is units aren't limited with their counter-attacks, any attack against them will cause a counter-attack. This makes auto-resolve dangerous on high difficulties, where you can go up to a guy with 3x the force a

Next unique unit for the golem king faction (will add armor and cloak)

I can't edit since the page is b0rked, but I want to post before I don't remember. I think it would be of great help if you included a sample wallset xml, and say replaced the wallset for kingdom of altar with it. That should help people get started extra fast.
crystlshake I sent you an e-mail but I think you missed it. I was wondering if it's ok that I alter the size of the pedestrians in the tiles you sent? They're slightly too large, compared to other tiles.
Hey Glowing_Ember, you mustn't confuse the purpose of the tags. They do not determine what stats a hero will have when he levels up - only what stats he has when he spawns.
Great stuff! For the record, the wallsets looks exactly the same in XML when you use them for fortress, fort or castle buildings. They are just hooked up differently, ie you won't write it in the raceconfig.
Nope, just a fan.
Amazing monument crystlshake. Love the little wagon with a crystal in the wallset. That's what I meant when I said that's what you need to create an organic feel.
Do it yourself. It's all in CoreNPCunits.xml. Each unittype may have one or several of these History_Adventurer those link to the ability or characteristics of the character. Search the game files to find out what it specifically does.
