Every living person alive today will die. He's getting the attention because of his position in Apple's evolution. I don't think it's unfair to discuss Apple based on his events. I also don't think it's fair to pity him or his family any more than the millions of people dying right now. He had a good run. If you must, remember the good things he's done, but his sickness should not cause you to forget the bad.
I don't think the problem is with monster or AI player armor being too high. Rather, the problem is the player having too much armor on his units and champions. This can create invincible units that can steamroll anything. If I were you, I would hard-cap the mitigation of armor at 80%, 75% being the marker for armor equal to damage, and 80% being mitigation where armor*2 = damage. In addition, currently the AI never uses shields or helms. As a player, I can get above 40 defens

To mod those files, copy their ENTIRE content into a new modfile. Then change that file. Those things should stick. In the in-game map editor, you'll see two different versions of each terraintype when you do this. As far as I know, you can use either and they'll save as the same terrain defined in the map xml (0-17). New terraintypes must be added AFTER the other terraintypes. Note that you can't make up new environments, only new terraintypes. That's all I know, after that -

Although I haven't put in the "history" for the angels in this mod yet, the general idea is that they are god's chosen people who lived alongside him/her at the mountain of gods. So not muscle, and not general well-doers in the world either. They believe in the principles of the Kingdom way of life, and have a realistic respect for other life, but they are not in any way bound to "do no evil".
