Yeah, fuck reviews (no offense to OP). I watch gameplay videos and that's it. I'd rather take a dive on a bad game every now and then, than miss a great game every now and then.
Heavenfall
It has no new designs, just re-used things already in-game.

Saw it played at a friends. Seemed like another total war knockoff, but graphics actually seemed very good.
Basically, drJBHL is presenting a possible scenario where an off-switch (a theoretical button turning off major parts of the internet) would be the ideal solution to hackers trying to do damage to crucial infrastructure. The counter-argument, now as before, is not that the button would be ineffective against countering a supposed threat. The argument is that it will be used for other ends, and that the government cannot be trusted with that power.
Well you can't. But with multipliers, at least you could simulate permanent effects on the target. For example a werewolf bite. The unit permanentally has a bonus that gives it 20% more attack and 5 combat health regen, but loses 50% of its charisma. The difference between a multiplier and a normal adjustment is that the multiplier will affect future changes to the stat as well. Yes, it's not exactly what you wanted to do.
Yeah, calculations only happen once when you cast the spell. What you can do is apply multipliers instead of calculated stats. For example, a spell boosts health by 20% but takes away 20% of its defense. The effect of those multipliers are constantly recalculated. The value of the multiplier can be calculated, of course (but only once).
Whatever. This thread is too mainstream for me! If you need me, I'll be out back doing things I'll stop doing if you've heard of them. PS. Afaik calculations only happen once. I'll run a quick test.
2011? More like 2009.
Uhm... what did you have in mind? Are you looking for some kind of cutscene or something when you win?
You can have shields with individual crests. Normally I wouldn't suggest it but since you're breaking up the tech tree it might actually work. I'll try to work something. It would most likely be a non-circular shield form, so what I'd do is put the faction color as main shield colour, then a circular crest on top of that. Edit: How about this? Then you can colour the metal of the shield using the metal colour instead. That will flow a lot better with the original shield textur

If you buy them separately you get the discount. I'm not sure how that discount is applied though, you may have to register your game at impulse and buy FE through impulse (don't know).
There are two more I'd like to add. The first one is [quote] Pristine Kitchens City uses 20% more food for population buildings. Prestige, Arcane and Tech research are increased by 35%. One per city, requires city level 4, no upkeep Tech: Tier 1 Diplomacy - Kingdoms need "Trading" and Empires need "Trading" Reasoning: I wanted an option to boost the quality of food used in a city, to boost prestige and research. It will only be available in level 4 cities or h
I absolutely assume that they are just as capable as China, when it comes to "cyber warfare". Anything else would just be naive. US hackers are neither innocent nor incompetent. Re: "keep a lid on something like this" - I have no idea how to determine if something is likely or unlikely when it comes to espionage, but I do know it's possible.
That's some great timing, considering the "off-switch" for the internet in the US being discussed. Almost smells like false flag operations to me.
Adds a few more buildings to the game. Hopefully they represent interesting choices. I found a strategy that practically made it so I didn't have to use my lord except against champions. Locations on a 2d scale Dungeon Heart 1 Gold Chest (only one in dungeon) 20 monster spawning things armory/library Surface and that's it. All the heroes have either a desire for gold or combat. Everything gets sucked into the grinder like this. The rooms in between the kill zone and the entrances will give them plenty of life energy, and so will the
Das123 posted a tag here https://forums.elementalgame.com/395711 to hide a faction from play. You can hide the core raceconfig, then make up a new one with only the options you want. [quote] 1 </RaceConfi
The judges are still out on DC universe, but FFxi was huge, you're right about that.
Wow... thanks a LOT. More of these things are so helpful!
Not to mention it is very genre-dependant. I've yet to see a successful MMO or RTS game on a console. Yeah, I said it.
I always loved the tactical combat in this game, although as you say there were quite a few imbalanced units end-game. The combat has a surprising amount of depth, and with the changes it sounds even better. This was one of my first strategy games, and I STILL get a kick out of finding that little pile of gold just waiting to get picked up. Yes, it's silly, yes it's conditioned, yes it's awesome.
While I haven't noticed an improvement myself, it is difficult to say due to the nature of the problem. Certainly, at least 75% of the problem remains in 1.19b if I were to wing it.
Thanks, StevenAus. Will enjoy exploring this world again!
