I really don't think there's a dislike, just a lower priority. Like modding. [e digicons]O:)[/e]

Yeah, it's pretty uneven between episodes I think. Some are just cheesy feel-good fillers, others are a bit darker. My main complaint would be that there isn't really a storyline you can feel thread its way through the episodes. There is a setting, which tries to do the same job. No matter how I look at it, the evolution of the characters is painfully slow.
LOL... suicidal sovereigns have been in since the first beta. It's time to GIVE UP on factions dying immediately when the sovereign dies in enemy lands.

Instead of changing the combatspeed you can change the amount of AP needed to move 1 tile. I'm pretty sure that's instant (but you'll still lose AP buffing yourself, catch 22)
I'm interested in Brink, on a sale. I might also pick up wotlk/cataclysm at some point (if there was something like 1 month time+both exps for 10 bucks).
I think Frogboy is a good guy with many noble intentions. I don't agree with anything you said, mqpiffle. Stardock has earned better, and continue to do so with their commitment to Elemental universe. This attitude is valid against a company like EA. Edit: There is always a certain amount of marketing speak. But what you see as being strung along, I think is just healthy, welcome updates to their players.
Lord Xia, you can mod in gnomes as it stands now.
Firstly, I think they have placed significant emphasis on modding. They hired Jon Shafer specifically for that role. In a relatively small studio hiring someone (who surely isn't working for peanuts) specifically to focus on an area IS placing emphasis on it. Besides that, if you hang around the modding forums you'll see devs discussing what features would improve modability and implementing those features. [/
Perhaps people were making their traits too powerful, but I have to sort of agree, not too impressed with any of them. Although the assassination thingy would open some windows for more variety in tactical combat, so I chose that.
Q: Any news on the modding front? A: Yes. Jon Shafer and I have been working on the mini-campaigns for Elemental: Destiny’s Embers. And so as we work on those we uncover weaknesses in the modding tools that we have been trying to get addressed which in turn should make modding even easier in the future.
I sincerely hope this doesn't mean you'll waste time on modding additions to make building campaigns easie
It is possible that there will not even be a boxed version, although I am only guessingd. I seem to remember that FE would completely skip the retail stores.
I'm curious if anyone managed to get the hctKumquat3DFilter.dll file to work. I never did.
The way I see it, they made a shoddy release. They apologized, and went as far as to say that FE and the next game will be free to the early players. Everyone understands that this means Elemental did not suddenly become a much better game. Now they want to move on. The situation is played out. EWoM is now largely as they envisioned it, ie nearing how it should have been released. THEN players come in and start giving comments about how bad the game is. These people are not commenting
I think you're mixing up the different issues, DRJBHL. There's one discussion about net neutrality, which is favoring one type of traffic over other. (google favors net neutrality, ie not favoring any specific traffic, for obvious reasons as they don't want to pay premium for youtube) Then there's the issue of whether or not bandwidth caps should be there at all (and if they are, then at what sizes). That's a whole other discussion. Then there's
I've been thinking about a possible 9th faction for this mod. It would be the large chunks of armor discussed earlier (ie - empty large suits of armor). They'd have some tie-in with metal vs food buildings (maybe one produces the other and so back and forth). Anyway, the really exciting thing I think I could do is remove grouping from them completely, and instead incorporate the grouping bonuses into the armor sets. So the units would always be single-size but as you upgrade armor (ob
I'm quite impressed because Frogboy always wanted Impulse to provide competition for Steam, and that is the main beneficial thing I see coming out of this.
If you're actually trying to put together a high score list, then obviously mods would be out of the question. This is just a little fun like "look what I accomplished" sort of topic, isn't it? I rarely seem to get more than 11-12 points in games I play (and they are always, always modded). Then again, I rarely finish a game since I often reach a point where I will win in 30-60 minutes, but can't be arsed to actually play it out (the AI is rubbish late-game).
How I "solved" the issue of boots like that is just using a fallen item-model, and giving it no supported modeltypes at all (= every champion can wear it).
Laptops usually come with a ton of bloatware, seems Samsung are no different. Format, format, format.
I'm pretty sure everyone else would get it 6 months after release.
To me, the "fun" in elemental can be improved in - AI, AI, AI. Where's the shield-wearing units? Where are the mounts? Why is it so terrible in tactical combat? - Tactical combat is boring, and not just because of AI. There are obvious cheese tactics with no downsides, and there's a huge lack of diversity.
They haven't released enough information about FE to give you any sort of informed decision about "which is more fun". Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with Shogun 2, but if you are limited to only one game and it has to be either FE or Shogun 2, your only real option is to wait for FE to get released until you make a decision. I guess the main talking points would be - dynamic (FE) vs constant (S) playfield - fantasy (FE) vs realistic (S) gameplay/lore
Stardock did not make Demigod, it was developed by Gas Powered Games and published by Stardock. (edit: Stardock did do the netcode, so they didn't just publish) The worst part about LoL and HoN is the excruciatingly bad community, which is easily the worst I've come across in any game. For some reason that type of competitive game attracts a lot of ragers. However, the gameplay is superior to demigod in many aspects (most importantly depth and character variety). Demigod only
