Well, I'm glad someone's positive about modding.

True that, this has nothing to do with the crisis and the bailouts. However, Americans refusing to buy American will certainly put you guys in a downward spiral.
It is what it is, they have been consistent in saying they'll keep E:Wom on its current design path for those that like it like that, and provide a new experience in FE. If you are/were expecting major content revisions beyond 1.1 then you were just making it up in your head, in my opinion.
Not likely, since they are not giving us any scripting access. Population and dynasties are probably just the first few things to go, I'm sure there will be more. Honestly, while I think it's kind of lame to lose things, I also think it's the right decision to make when creating a new vision for a game. It goes with what they said about features - FE is not just going to be e:wom with 20% more features. It's a whole new game.
These ideas are really, REALLY good!
Not really, they're just generic churn, and elemental has LESS than that. In comparison with nearly nothing, everything will look good.
1.3 will still be bland, it's just minor mechanic fixes no real content revisions. I seem to recall Frogboy saying this blandness was "by design", and that it was a mistake, and that they would have a different approach in FE which is more content-driven. I for one agree with the op, the world is literally empty between the swathes of cities. Okay, not empty, because there are forests (that don't do anything once they're in your zone of control) and world resources

Bad idea, since FE is "making up" for the E:wom release which was promised as a 32-bit release.
There is the freedom of choice. Nobody forced those people to go and kill themselves. Why didn't they just quit? What did killing themselves solve, that quitting would not?
" But tell me, what liberty is there for those who live and die by the dollar? -.-
There is the liberty of choosing where you work, and what you do with your money.
Why don't they just quit? What does killing yourself solve, that quitting does not?
It's not something you would use more than once or twice in a game (and certainly not in tactical anyway).

Anyone wanna hook up for some games? Terraria is going full-steam it seems. I'm Fiery the Angels Fell on steam.
Someone working on a 3d rts game apparently, http://www.agot-genesis.com/ All the info released found at http://www.agot-genesis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27
No luck... someone else must have stumbled across this problem, surely?
That is very disappointing news, it's a shame to see modding support maintain its place at the back of the line. Edit: So as not to appear ungrateful, I would just like to recognize the efforts of Cari_Elf and Akil Dawkins post-release in helping us understand the xml and 3d stuff.
Hey, I just made an animation for a new spellbook, and the effect takes about 17 seconds to complete. However, when I went to test it in-game the damage modifiers of the spell got applied instantly. This would cause the spell to deal damage before the visual effect of dealing damage. So my question, is there any way to delay the damage and/or changes from a spell when you cast it, so that it plays at the end of an effect instead of the start of it?
You can edit the mod xml if you only want the horses. Not going to do a separate mod for that.
Nooo... I was ready to judge everything about the game based on that video alone. Now I have to wait. ;(
I think E:WoM mods being unusable in FE is guaranteed.
Interesting, although the situation has the potential to generate a lot of bad will quickly between the parties depending on how it's played. Are there any legality issues involved in scenarios like this? Are the "hackers" breaking any laws, or does google have any legal claim to their findings? Obviously this is a blow to the image of chrome as a safe browser, can that be interpreted as a form of slander?
What he said.
The goblins use the core empire technology tree, if there's a problem there it's not from the mod.
That chasm in the world looks cool, that's the sort of thing you need to spice up the world. A broken world shouldn't be almost completely flat.
Stardock have negotiated a no-cost in their Elemental franchise when selling through impulse (they don't have to pay gamestop anything). To sell through steam, they would have to give up 30% of the profits. That, and Frogboy's long-standing wish to challenge the steam monopoly instead of support it, I would say seeing any Elemental game on Steam is highly unlikely.
