I, for one, really hope these events are more than time-triggered quests that were in the beta. Although it would be a welcome change to have the quests forced upon you, instead of being able to choose. That would move the quests from "would you like to spawn this dragon? Y/N?" to "This guy is going to tear your city apart and now you got to do something".

Another excellent episode, this series really is like nothing I've seen before on TV. The pace is very high, the story nothing like the run-of-the-mill "hero out to save the world" script that has been forced down our throats for so long.
Well, the fourth approach is the best solution I can come up with.
So... I had some time free this weekend to throw my awesome mind at the problem of creating local populations in E:wom. If it's not obvious, the end goal should be that population no longer "commutes" between cities, so you can't fill a level 1 city with no huts with studies or workshops (as the people required for those buildings do not live there). First I tried switching the specialist tag to non-global, but that didn't work (nor did I expect it to). My second a
Some mods will work and others will not. You can ask here or in each thread.
They are made and people buy them, that is it. You do not have to. For reference, what FPS do you consider worthy of your time?
What are you talking about... Magma dolphins ride the fire. Spirit dolphins ride on land.
I would keep it, a little wear-and-tear gives a sort of scruffy-looking vibe. If everything still functions, that is.
I'll use whatever makes sure the developer gets most of the cash. If they want to build their own platform, MORE POWER TO THEM. There's NO reason to request that the developers part with +-30% of the revenue just because I want their product from this store or that. That said, I'm getting it for free. So I really don't care.
Thanks, although anecdotal that kind of evidence about the durability is just what I wanted. People talk back and forth about it so much I don't know which way is which.
That little 60gb ssd, did you use that for OS?
I think it's a fair question, considering the increased price. I don't want to pick up something that lasts half the time a disk drive would. But if you want to deal in averages, I'd be happy to get some averages for the "average" sdd time until fail.
What Kamamura_CZ says is what everyone says, beware the read/write limits. I want a comparison of that statement to a disk drive. Will an SDD last longer, or shorter, given how I use the drive? What are the facts? Let's say I write 400gb data every day. Or 40gb. Or 15gb. When will the drive die?
It helps in two ways, first cities that level up get a % bonus if you choose to do so. That means you should place them in a few high-level cities rather than many low-level cities. second, high-level cities also gain access to new buildings from the civ tech tree, which further boost production by a %. I, for one, am more anxious how the AI will handle this. The AI already has problems managing its population.
I play with no more than 5, if there's too little room on the map for the AI to advance they will just deadlock each other. By the time the war starts, the AI needs a headstart or it just gets wiped.
Oops, I posted in the other topic. The thought occurs that a pop-per-city should be easily moddable if we create a local 2ndary resource that population buildings produce. It might even work pretty good with the AI, because the AI only builds buildings it can produce so it will default to population buildings once it runs out of the local resource. Edit: Nope

Promise nothing > everyone wants promises. Promise something and break it > everyone wants you to not promise Promise something and follow through > everyone wants faster patches Gamers gonna want moar. That's all there is.
This was posted in the irc channel before, note that the increased cost is civ-wide. 16:30 I'm in the process of implementing a new cost system for personnel 16:30 Personnel meaning..? 16:32 Your first study will cost 1 person 16:32 Your second one will cost 2 16:32 Your third one will cost 3 16:32 <Frogboy|Coding&
Although the numbers are a bit harsh, diminishing returns is a well-known law in economics. The tech tree with most of the city improvements was already one of the two strongest trees. Now it will be by far the strongest (as your production is effectively capped without pursuing new improvements there). Technologies that reduce the diminishing returns on these basic buildings should be relegated to the diplomacy or adventure tree, so that we may have some semblance of balance between
Would it be interesting to give champions modifiers like these? Unit AdjustArmyStat

I had a chat with Cari_Elf and unfortunately the solution involves creating a unique bones animation. Since the animations are only indirectly tied to the spells, it is not possible to give this delay to any unit with more than one spell. If anyone googles in the future and finds this topic, you can find an example of the "effectdetach" if you study D_Dragon_Attack_02.hkb animation for dragonfire attacks.
From what I can tell of the AI, it just rolls a random number for buildings deciding what type to build, then builds something with that tag. It appears to be purely random after set numbers and turns, not necessity-driven. For example, the default AI will almost never build a level 5 city because the odds of building population buildings in a level 4 city are extremely low.
If you're still buying apple products after the last year, you must be out of your god damn mind. Oh, and someone in the last topic said something along the lines of... these factories make a lot of stuff, you can't just stop buying everything . Yes you can. Stay up-to-date as a consumer, when stuff like this gets revealed you have a duty against your fellow humans to act against it. Guess what - if you want to act like a moral person, you WILL HAVE TO PUT SOME EFFORT
