Looks like a massive effort! Looking forward to this, which is really how the main game should be.

Mods making your game slow, SD? Deal with it. Seriously though, if you are running a mod sending the save will be problematic since they won't have all the 3d models and textures and stuff, only the xml is integrated into the save.
All you people hating on the game; if you don't think it's funny at this point, you probably never will. The game isn't going to massively change between this patch and the next. If you bought this game early, you have free access to FE when that starts happening. I suggest you try that out instead.
Waiting isn't going to get anything fixed. Head over to the support forum, follow the instructions on how to report bugs and watch it disappear in a patch or two.
Oops, I forgot to pack in a folder. Uploaded 8.8, fixing that issue.

I love effects like the one used in that cutscene. Not only does it save time, but it feels right for the "comic" style of Elemental.
If we DO get random techs (which we obviously are) they are likely to be fringe technology and never core mechanics. Because random core technology is insane, and random fringe technology makes for interesting games. Also the way I see it, it is not a matter of getting a specific tech or not. It is a matter of getting ONE TECH or ANOTHER. I don't see it as getting denied one technology. I see it as getting only one set of loot from the chest at the end of the dungeon. I'm drun
Looks like a lot of fun in coop.
It's not as good as the namegen in DF, of course. It's just based on it.
I'm curious how "distant tech queueing" works together with "cross category prereqs". Is it 'smart'?
Looks like they've upped the difficulty a bit since beta. Enemy Health and incoming damage is higher.
Guessing 1.191 or 1.19za
Basically, the current namegen is just random letters piled on each other. I inserted a vast library of words, taken from Dwarf Fortress, that aren't nearly as random. There are 8000 nonsensical words like noloc, suku, tikbo. There are also 4000 words like three, necro, gate, order. And then there are rules that decide how these words are combined. Did you follow the installation notes? Yeah, can't make different rules for different factions. &nb
Apparently you can use coremods with beta patches, if you include /localdataonly in your shortcut to start elemental.
Here's my modded namegenerator using words from Dwarf fortress: https://forums.elementalgame.com/408124
NamegenDF by Heavenfall Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?88me7z080jgt08l The namegenerator in Elemental WoM is rubbish, so here's a new one. It applies to new cities, worlds and AI units and monsters and offspring from the dynasty system. I converted a word list from Dwarf Fortress, unfortunately there is a lot of hardcoded stuff in the namegenerator in E:WoM but this is the best I c
Sony could never code for shit.
Heh, you cheeky bastard.
