Read the patchnotes, or the xml in the modfolders. Edit: Oh, you mean your own mods! No, every time you have to start a new game. Google Elemental Cheats to speed things up (all research done in a second, all spells available, make all buildings finish, infinite resources)

Not only did I want thousands of units on the battlefield, AND customizable units - I also wanted a real-time strategy game filled with so much content I couldn't play it in a lifetime if I tried. Also, the graphics should dynamically adjust themselves to my graphic card, so that whatever equipment I have it should always look like I just bought the game. I, too, prefer customizable units over thousands of units.

For the lazy, [quote]"This technology is not a voxel engine... that is why Notch is wrong. He is assuming that this technology is needing to calculate points for every point in the system for every frame... when in reality this engine searches and calculates for only points that can be seen and displayed on a monitor which is your resolution. The billions of points that are not being displayed are NOT USING PROCESSING POWER. Go back to Notch's Blog and drink some more of his kool

I would like to see FE be optimized like other games are then. THEN we can talk about using maybe 4gb or even more for the next game. But first they have to prove that they can effectively use whatever memory they have available. There shouldn't be any OOM crashes, period. Every other game out there can do it, so can they. There should be no need to delay anything. Use 64-bit if you can truly utilize the power to the benefit of the player, don't use it as a stopgap to fix shitty code.

Notch wrote a "reply" here: http://notch.tumblr.com/post/8386977075/its-a-scam To sum it up, there's a big reason we're seeing the same objects repeating over and over, and there's good reasons why nothing is animated. OP mentioned hitboxes, which will be a problem. I also think the lighting is subpar, compared to say <a href="http://www.gameblurb.net/wp-content/gallery/030311-unreal/unreal_tech

Stuff like this is why I wanted E:wom to have some sort of opensource release. Things that are simply beyond the scope of SD, but hungry modders could dig in at.

The first thing you need to do is figure out what the latest most powerful mobile gpu is. Then you can see what models offer that. For $2000 you should not end up with anything except the best. When I picked up gaming laptops while I had to travel a lot, I chose Dell and I was never disappointed (they delivered, and they had the latest hardware). But I know others have had different experiences. Make sure you pick up a model that comes with a guide to how you screw it apart. Y

That's all I know, that's how the recruitable dragon works. Probably interfering with some other tag, you'll have to experiment.

Depends what unit you want to limit. Edit: Oh, you want to be able to build single units in a city. I don't know if that is possible. Check out CoreUnitGroupingTypes.xml and what I posted above has nothing to do with that.

Nope, it doesn't. Wait for FE. Some new things are interesting, like an event system and minimim 4 men per human units. Others make the game worse, like new limits on basic buildings and healthpoint making every unit a glasscannon.

That isn't supposed to appear unless you're playing a beta version. Are you on version 1.30?

You can still build them 1 at a time, but they suffer from the same bug as pioneers (you have to coax it to make it appear right)

I don't know about cat's ass, but the difference between E:wom and FE, imho, is that for FE there's a clear design that they want to achieve. E:wom is more like a sandbox where they just try things out to see what works, and that clearly doesn't work. FE: "this is what we're going to do". E:wom: "Wouldn't it be cool if...". So for e:wom, you end up with a "bag of assorted goods". Dynasty system. Sieges. Magic in combat. They're there, but they're sort of unfini

Guys quick question if there are any dom3 veterans around. I'm trying to cast well of misery in a game, but I keep getting it failed and I can't figure out why. The spell isn't active in the world, but some others are. Do some globals block others? Or can there only be X active at the same time? The active ones are Wild hunt, Strands of Power, Gift of Health, Mother Oak, The Eyes of God.
