I posted a bunch of bugs here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/410743 Also, there are issues with how you implemented the new limits on repeatable buildings, which I comment on here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/410744

Can it be killed with fire?
Wikipedia's article about Coneservapedia isn't much better than Conservapedia's article about Wikipedia. Bonus fact: if you google "wikipedia conservapedia" then the first result is the conservapedia domain.
Just remember to check for spies by setting them on fire.
They are already moving away from that as they went from shader 2.0 to shader 3.0. Helps with performance and various bits. Frogboy said he wished he could even apply the same solution to E:wom to solve some graphical bugs and decrease the memory usage - but that it wasn't feasible since netbook owners wouldn't be able to play.
None of the empires were present in the "campaign" in E:wom. The Elemental LORE is larger than what's in the campaign. It makes perfect sense to include other factions in FE, even if they aren't in the campaign. That, and we don't even know if they are in the campaign.
Games being bundled with any shop is the real problem. But, as you say, they should ban steamworks games as well.
According to other sources, they should have pulled the game from their shelves. You shouldn't be able to buy it any longer. http://kotaku.com/5834169/gamestop-pulls-pc-deus-ex-human-revolution-from-shelves-following-onlive-debacle @stant123 the off-topic forum isn't accessible from the elemental forums.
So is this the part where we gloss over the horrible things Apple has done under his leadership, and focus on the good bits? I don't think so. Maybe the next guy can put some morality back into the business, but being strongly suggested by Jobs I don't quite see it.
The unofficial line when I asked a few months back was that it was not going to see open-source because it would be too embarrassing. Apparently a lot of the manhours that were supposed to make it passable to the public ended up being rushed into solving the early issues of Demigod.
I like these little details that polish the game.
With E:wom, it is possible to force a beta client to use local data only and ignore the downloaded blob. But this only applies to core files anyway - you could always do normal mods (in your user/my games/elemental/mods/ folder) during betas.
That's not possible. Only this mod is not up-to-date. Everything else works.
Given that the beta was supposed to be "feature-complete", I'd say pushing back the release is the same as pushing back the beta.
Given that they pushed back the release, they probably had to spread the planned dev journals out more so they last until the release.
Wow, I had no idea they limited what the journalists could say like that. That means they (the reviewers) are not really reporting the truth, which makes me wonder why I'm reading what they have to say at all.
If it helps them catch more criminals, I don't see the harm. The police are pretty good at keeping stuff to themselves (anyone remember COFEE?). You don't just need the model to perform an analysis, you also need the stats (which is far from "reading the paper"). [quote]The police are citing the money saved using this method. That will lead to fewer police. Mark my words. That will lead to less data, because the data is collected by arrests and reports by police officers. [/qu
Corsairs are pretty stable.
And I'm fine with that.
The thing about games having mods released for years on end is that it doesn't really happen for games that aren't good. It's possible that someone comes along and starts doing large mods for E:wom. But it lacks what some other games don't; a playerbase, and a modding community. And it has one thing some others don't, as well - a sequel.
Modders have moved on. Opening up the game at this point for more modding would be a waste of time. If they want to spend time on E:wom that's fine, but don't do it on modding.
Modding for E:wom is over. Would be much better to put all their effort into making FE moddable.
Excited about: - Warhammer 40k: Space Marine - Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Heroes of Might and Magic 6 (actually I think its called Might and Magic heroes VI) - Firefall - Skyrim - Dark Souls - Guild Wars 2 - Mass Effect 3 - Wasn't SWTOR there as well?
Any real "content" mod should fit just fine into any other content mod. I think the problems occur when you start fiddling with the original mechanics. For example, the adventure content pack is completely stand-alone. But Updated Weapons and ExpandedFactions take... liberties... with the original content. So they have to talk to each other and then you have to consider that not everyone has all 3 mods, maybe they just have 2 mods... Yeah, if I were to say anything on the subject, I w
Same here, a whole bunch of EA games I bought the last 6 months, none I could get on impulse (US only). But, not that I really care now that SD don't own it anymore.
