So bandits are weak against axes?
Mhantra
I found this last beta to actually make things much earier with regard to creatures and AI. That's odd.
!Traigalo!!!
so we don't stay up all night.
lol
Quoting Michael_Zett, reply 114 Did you consider scaling other values like city production, research, unit minimum build turns with the map size? Not sure but I think prestige scales with map size.
We know, from an earlier post in this very thread by Derek, that Research already scaled with map size.
+ Units don't get additional movement from roads in enemy territory I guess this is the natural first step in dealing with this, but I do worry about it slowing end game to an absolute crawl. But I am willing to play with the new system before criticizing it. If it still helps you move through forest etc without the penalty (still get two moves), that might be quite nice.
+ Added the Undying Curse trait (when this unit kills a victim this unit gains an additional member to its group, to a max of 9 members) + Added the Cyndrum Demon (binding summon, has the Undying Curse trait) + Butcherman gain the Undying Curse trait Niiiiice. I am oddly intrigued by this.
Quoting sratner, reply 1 I do think that each champion type could benefit from a unique way of dealing with spellcasters. Mages can counterspell, warriors can one-hit most mages, defenders just pump spell resistance and take it in the face. Interrupt the spell on a critical hit, perhaps, for the assassins? Or perhaps there can be a % chance to be interrupted based on spell ma

While I see it as a problem, I would want it to be not as brutal as just moving as if a road didn't exist. Perhaps check points that you could build to half movement? Maybe some add on to an outpost? Or something you b uild onto a road, or, possible built into the tech tree? I don't like the idea of locking down troop movements. you see, I play on large maps, and that would suuuuuuuuuuuuck. Seriously...game would never end as more tr
Experience downscale on larger maps? Ugh...
I could be wrong, but I actually thought it was the other way around. If they want a champ to get highest level no matter the map size, I figured it was raising the exp gained on smaller maps, as there is less space to work with, fewer creatures etc.
Funny. Saw all those changes to the factions, and first thought was, "I wonder which faction Das123 will play on his next Let's Play. I vote Resoln!
Where is my Beta 0.915? It's Thursday and I don't have my Beta 0.915. I need my Beta fix or there is no telling what I may be capable of.
Perhaps we can be co-capable of something of which there is no telling [e digicons]}:)[/e] Destruction.
Yes, please start Sov in city. Thought E:WoM was like this, even had an option to turn it on and off. That would be god too.
I just wanted to relay an interesting story that has to do with starting position, and whether AI gets attaacked by random creatures. I started up a new game, and literally, right when I clicked off the starting narrative, I got another alert that said...Magnar had been destroyed! I hadn't even had a turn yet.
Hey Jon don't listen to enoeraew3 CIV V has the funnest combat systems of all the CIV games and played and enjoyed them all. But I have had more fun with CIV V than the others. It is just really buggy at least it was the last time I played it several months ago. But my friends and I are going to start playing it again this summer (hopefully some bugs have been fixed)
Agree
If I may be a bit rude to the OP, I would say you should go for Nintendogs
Dude, Nintendogs is freakin' brutal! When those umberdroths show up and massacre my loved and cared for animated pooches, it tears me up!
Weird! fast has quick listed as a required prerequisite in the XML. This is definitely a bug, do you have a save of that game so that a bug report can be made?
Oh wow, good to know, then, actually. I will see if I have the save game, though I think it was a game where an umberdroth rampaged me on turn 50ish, so probably deleted them all when I started anew. I was thinking,
Holy crap you can recruit an Umberdroth? Har....seriously, though? He one shots any of my characters when I run into these things.
I am still playing, for sure, but for the record, I pretty much get my arse handed to me by umberdroth, dragons, or hoarder spiders every game. I have recently been trying to scout and settle away from those areas, but it is likely just a matter of time before all of my cities except main city are destroyed. Once they even raged to my main city right after hittting my second city, but that seemed like an anomoly. The thing is, I like having to cl
Oh, I played a game last night, and right at level 2, the trait Fast came up, without having ever even seen Quick. So quick definitely not a prereq.
You need Quick to get Fast, it's a prerequisite.
So that's why I have never seen Fast. haha =D
I take Adventurer's boon if it pops at level 2, because early game, I find it worth it on a tank-like character. But yes, by even mid game, it is near worthless. I wonder if scaling it would be good? Like 10 + 2 per level.
Yeah, its intended, but its balanced by a change that hasn't been introduced yet (Resoln will be losing armor). Making those spiders to hold down enemies all the more important.
Is that complete loss of armor? Now that would be a unique race lol. My interest is piqueued. Cool to know, thanks for sharing that.
