*Sniffs around for word on Beta 3*

Though I see I am in the minority, I have to say that, as one said above, that city building is one of the primary identities Elemental from others. I would terribly miss the look of the current system if it was gone. That being said, I do see the problem with the design, both performance and exploit. So I would propose a comptomise, a blending of the two. Can we extend the buildable boundaries of the one-tile city out a little per level, leading to a larger area to
Ignore, had posted on wrong thread. Have a nice day!

This thread is hawt.
There is an understood 'I' in Johnny 5's, "Need Input" statement. By requesting input, I am inferrring that another's output will be my input. Given the context of the situation, it can be assumed by others that I am asking for information on the next Beta, another journal, or some other addiction-quelling piece of information. Hope that clears things up.
Semi vague movie reference (Thx for finishing it Natjur) says, "Give us the scoop, when is the next Beta coming. Heck, when is the next big journal with pictures. Killin' us!!
Need iiiinpuuuut!!!

Because as it is right now, the worlds just seem like a mish-mash of (pretty garish) colors (we probably agree here). If I were going to meme-ify the maps in FE, I'd probably go with: Also, I should make clear that this is a pr
I couldn't find a link or information. Maybe I dreamed some different tile types were coming.
I thought that Frogboy already mentioned that new terrain types were incoming? I will check and try to post anything I find, or if I was on some good stuff when I thought that.

It scratches my itch in the same way as Kings Bounty (which I highly recommend everyone to try).
Wow! lol Playing King's bounty right now, and thought no one had ever heard of this. As much of a HoMaM clone it is, I find it quite unique in its

Darth Palpatine's plan would never have worked if the Republic was in the least bit capable of protecting Naboo. I wonder how long after the war did the New Republic fall back into the same routine?
I do say that this seems eerily similar to France in WWII. Crazy story if you
I like it. p.s. The indignance suits you well.
I like the look as well, and I certainly use it to expand my city in certain directions and form my ZOC. I thought this was the main reason for it, a more finely tuned ability to form your city instead of just "round," or "square."
Ok, so I got into a fight with a troll who was going to absolutely wipe my donkey. Out of desperation, I used stoneskin on my champ (who's the tank) and then dropped that mud spell to slow his movement across the map. Then, I began using Wither, over and over and over...as I had three champs that could cast it. His attack dropped from 40s to 16, all the while while my champion nickel and dimed him down. I continued to cast wither to get him to zero
I didn't make it clear, but that one game where Magnar was waaayhigher than any other faciton was the only time I have seen it. The rerst of the time, yup, inferior troops. And by superiod, I mean it. Their standard unit had around 100 atk and 45 defense to my 48 atk 8 defense.
I did get absolutely spakned by absolutely superior units. I was playing on Challenging, though. Also, somehow, while all other soverigns were a rating of 70, and Magnar was a 190. Good lord, he train wrecked me.
Bump so I canfind this to continue watching =D
I think many have made similar comments, but it makes most sense to me to have to take a turn to set up. You could even buff archer dmg a little if you force them to set up and aim for a turn. It also becomes a target that is important for the enemy to get to. This would encourage more actual formations in tactical battles. There is also additional things one could do in that scenario such as taking extra dmg by melee or doing hald dmg when
This isn't to say that others do not have legitimate problems, but since I really have't posted much lately, and recently read that 1.12 is going live soon, I wanted to post that I ran a perfect game on medium map, hard, against all other factions. At the beginning, the game was glass-smooth, and later the delays from the beta-logging were definitely evident. Even with that, though, I didn't have one crash. FYI I run an Intel i-7 with 4GB of ram, GeForce 470 and Wi
I've seen a couple of people have this rather extreme reaction to this thing.. True, it's not hard to install the game twice to seperate directories (one for betas and one for released). That way, if your internet connection is down, you can still play. But that would entail forethought, a commodity sadly lacking in most.
But it is far more fun to lay your opinion out as power
[e digicons]:cylon:[/e] Woot! Let the Sovereign buffage begin!
FYI, I was in the middle of a big game, with many developed cities and late in the game, and I had been suffering some pretty serious performance issues: delays after I put in a command (in both tactical and overhead map), slow framerate etc. For some reason, after patching with this new patch, performance is screaming. It is wonderful.
