Nice work on that first battle. A little luck with that last "clink" but that battled showed the greatness of the new tactical combat system.
Mhantra
This guy has maul...not THAT is overpowered with swarm tactic. I just steamrolled fools after I got him.
Dense monsters, telling ya! They hog-roll the AI too, except for the usual 1 or 2 leaders.
lol I watched a set of epic monsters roflstomp a whole AI settlement. Was hilarious!
I play on dense monsters, and most of my game focus is on killing the inordinate amount of them...
Amazing production on that 1-6 square, especially with a metal node right there. interesting.
I place units behind them. Buuut then, of course, I open myself up to Impale skill from spearmen. Pretty sweet little system brewing!
" x x x x o o o Above, the two enemy 'o' on the right side would be swarmed. " I would suggest that only the one o on the right side can be swarmed, if we were going that direction vis a vis changing swarm.
I could dig th
I would rather nix the heroes splitting XP and go for an overall exp reduction across the board. Or possibly just exp reduction for heroes only, but not regular units? Would have to play both to check the balance.
Ooh, interesting. I took the notes as they are and have been stacking heroes. I noticed it was much less experience, but was ok with it because I put monsters on dense and challenging, so I spend most of my time killing them, and I feel that with two or even three champions, it still feels right in pacing. Given this, I would rather not split chamipon exp, instead lowering exp across the board or something.
Yes, new game, please bring them back as full factions! One in particular lends itself to the ZERG! weak, but quickly multiplying units that use swarm tactic...
Great stuff! I found that Kraxis defintiely couldn't get both empire and kingdom heroes like they should, but I don't know about being underpowered. that fortify skill is absolutely ridiculous when used to make combat lines to counter and engage swarm fighting. 4 abreast with fortify is powerful, powerful stuff.
I have found swarm to an incredibly valuable addition to the game, and definitely don't want it to be removed or just added as a skill. i think it SHOULD be the core of the new battle system. A few points: * The AI also has this, it isn't just the player...so it is an even playing field..once the AI is buffed to use it better, though it does pretty well now. * I agree a dazed, or other incapacitated, unit should not get an attack in the swarm.<
Hmm, I assumed it did, but never actually checked.
I have not had a crash in LH either. That is frustrating, though, I know, and I hope they can fix crashes for those having them. I find dodge to be about right, though my viewpoint might be skewed because I value accuracy very highly. That is something I like about the game, that if you go all major whackage power to hit huge, it is balanced by not hitting as often, but if you don't raise dmg much, but accuracy, you get similar overall damagem just done by landin
Relatedly, I am running the stock Kraxis, and which can get both types of heroes, yet I seem to only get Empire offered to me. I may be wrong, and after only three heroes being offered in one game, could be statistical anomoly, but it should be checked into.
I jumped on to make a new thread about most of these points, so I will just add it to this thread instead. I have uninstalled FE. Not that it is a bad game, not at all, but because this game is so much better that it is the only one I need. It is difficult to say exactly why it is so much better, because if I list the fundamental changes, the swarm and tactical changes, the hero leveling changes, the quests...it just isn't describing the new feeling of the game.</
Beware of a bug when snaking btw, sometimes you hit the left mouse button and accidentally autoplace the logging camp. If you cancel that building of the camp, you wil never get to build the logging camp again. It disappears from the queue.
Well done shadows aren't typically the first thing noticed if at all, but are certainly noticed if they are poor, or if you are used to shodows, are removed.
*Is the flame tongue ability a racial or unique to the hero? If it's a racial it's not very good end game it can do good damage but it seems thrown in.
I noticed in the tool tip that it is 2 dmg per level. That would be, what, 20 damage at level 10? I agree, not great at all. However, what if it was made true damage or something, where resist doesn't affect it, or like a spear,
Naw, the OP is just incredibly badarse as a player, we should all bow down in reverence.
