There's actually another thread where we're discussing something along these same lines. The posters in that thread, (Not including myself, I'm useless at this kind of thing,) have come up with some interesting ideas. https://forums.elementalgame.com/399403 Additional insight and brainpower would be much appreciated, especially by me, because I've only contributed a single half-baked idea to that discussion.

Yes, it's just as the title describes. Close-up of Lord Karavox stuck in a city I took from him. We're at war and I'd been trying to find him forever. He had units out and about, but only one more city that I didn't know about, which I'd taken, without him in it. I've been wondering where the hell he is for the longest time, when suddenly.... DUN DUN DUN .</p

That makes more sense if you are one of the few people who like to interchange as many of your words as possible with profanity like me.
lol. Just lol. Yeah, I've noticed Resoln soldiers toting around Karrazan's before too. Don't think they're Elementium, but they're definitely Karrazan's.
Here's another idea - Subversion. Through espionage, bribery, intimidation, magic and deception, the Sovereign sets all rival factions at each others throats, making sure that there is no faction that is not at war with at least one other faction. There must be a minimum of 4 surviving rival factions for this victory to be achievable. Personally, I think that would be a lot of fun to do, but I don't think the game is really set up for it.

Chapter I: The Northlands And thus, his journey began. It would be fraught with danger and peril, but in the end, it had the potential to be something amazing. He traveled for many days and nights, unsure of where he was going. Without food or water, and with Inn's being few and far between, Jormund's survival skills were pushed to their limits. It didn't help that he'd dropped his dagger the night he'd found the stone. &n

Hopefully someone with more background knowledge on the subject will be able to give you an answer, since I can't. I hope there does end up being city-buying. Influence take-overs seem a bit iffy, but it'd work in theory.

We'll be getting some new Quests and Notable Locations with 1.1, so hopefully we'll be seeing less of this kind of thing in the future. You -could- always go into the Quest XML's and set them all to be repeatable if you wanted to though. (If you've no experience with HTML or XML, it doesn't matter so much. It's really not that hard, you're just changing some 0's to 1's in the section of XML code tagged as .) Edit: If you were to make use of
By culture I mean an abstract number that measures all the factors that indicate how developed your nation is, like there is currently a score that measures military might.
My only gripe is the terminology. The system you propose is, itself, sound. My thinking here is it would be a Prestige Victory as opposed to a Cultural Victory, terminology-wise. Not really an issue, of course, but that's what I'm thinking

I've noticed that this quest has been broken every time I've gotten it. I receive the quest, and travel to the first location, and nothing happens. The location disappears, sometimes without the shiny this-is-a-quest-tile marker going away. I noticed an inconsistency in how it's shown compared to other quests though. The text of the location is in bolded white, rather than standard, non-bolded black. I don't know if that helps. If you'd like me to provi

So you won't get one every game, and if a powerful character does appear in your game, there's no guarantee that he won't end up choosing to work for your enemies; but if you do get a fabled hero working for you, then boy are your enemies in for a rough ride This has a couple of advantages: Balance isn't so important.
Is that to say, it is now more difficult to pirate the game? Yeah, its so much more difficult that games are pirated BEFORE release date now Just look at TPB, you will easily find ANY released game there. Its _IMPOSSIBLE_ to protect software that is installed client-side. I have no idea why didn't Big Guys figure this simple fact yet. Its one of the basic properties of information. Green Thumb implies a sovereign with an interest in the fields their people uses, so it's appropriate. And yet, I can see how it makes sense business wise, entice customers to buy early so as to establish a nest egg for future development or whatever. But surely we gamers have not grown so cynical as to suspect that 1.1 will be an "expansion." Come on guys let's not be paranoid.
Than

Hey hey, now we're getting somewhere... Well, you guys are getting somewhere. I've done nothing but pessimistically shoot down ideas, and I apologize for that... This kind of thing just isn't my forte. Making the Wonder not be the victory, but turning it into part of the requirement for the victory, is exactly the kind of thinking we, (Read: Everyone but me,) needs to sort this idea out. Here's a thought though. Drop the idea of culture, as a terminolog

Prologue: The Mark Assassin turned Channeler, the man who would come to be called Jormund the Bright was once a contract killer amongst the endless wastelands. The last job he would ever do under the title of 'Assassin,' was contracted by a mysterious man who happened across Jormund's Inn. The request was strange. The client sought a man who'd taken shelter in an aba

Somewhere in these forums, you can find a thread called, "Your Elemental Scorecard." The idea behind it was that someone took 1000 points, and distributed them, semi-arbitrarily, throughout the features of the game, giving each individual area a score, and tallying the total at the end. I took the scorecard and used it as a basis for writing a full review of the game. I'll save you the trouble of reading it, as it's pretty damn long... I gave it a 34% score.

I had purchased Neverwinter Nights, and later Knights of the Old Republic, but they would not play with my CD-ROM drive. I had to get cracks to make them work.
