Just wait until Gabe dies (the guy must weigh 300+ pounds) and a new CEO is appointed to Valve. It's all going to go downhill...

I was in the beta and I have no clue what "elementium" is.

I've been using a rough calculation from here in Australia of add 8 hours minus a day (easier than subtracting 16 hours). My guess as I write this at 5.45am here is that it is 1.45pm over there (of the day before).
Lol no - Stardock is GMT - 5. East coast of North America.

I guess its true that "no good deed goes unpunished" Cast your stones after the 0 day patch tonight.
I was going to do so originally - but while playing the game @ 1.0 and running into so many issues, I figured: "what the hell? why not". Some issues might have been resolved already others not - the devs could pick out the ones that hadn't been addressed.
nope, not yet.
quoting post I've noticed that the training time for units is ONLY dependant (so it would seem) on the number of units in the squad. Their equipment plays no role in how long it takes to train the units. I would think that producing 8 men armed with clubs would take considerable less time than training 8 men fashioned in full armor with shields and swords. This is incorrect. Swords increase trai
Does the bug still exist where captured minor-faction cities won't grow?
This is good news. I think I'll hold off playing until tomorrow then... I have outstanding work that needs finishing anyway.

Try this, If you have a multi-core processor, switch the game's affinity to just one of your processors. To do this, hit Ctr-Alt-Del while the game is running, then right click "Elemental" under Processes. Down the bottom of the list, see "Set Affinity". Just uncheck one. I hope this works for you like it did for me!
This has definitely helped with performance. I recomm
Seriously how can you come up with ALL of these conclusions if you have not even played the game? You even say clear as day you have not even played the actual game and only a SHORT time with the campaign. I don't think thats fair to the developers since it is nearly impossible to state all of this already about the game. Maybe, just maybe you should play it a bit more before coming to all of these conclusions.
Uh oh.

I'm not trying to say im smarter than you or anything, but I had never played the betas, I just started up a non-campaign large map and dove in. This game was never meant for soccer moms who doesnt even know what a 4x game is, and why would they need to explain where the end turn button is? There is only 1 button in the lower right co

What a lot of publishers / studios fail to realize is that (the majority of) pirates are not their target audience. Imagine this: you're walking through a mall, people are handing out coupons and hats and stuff. Nothing amazingly exciting but hey! the shit is free. So you accept the free stuff. Imagine the above example, but now you're being forced to pay: odds are you won't and you'll walk away happily without the coupons, etc.

You can probably get around the issue by lowering your resolution. Basically, the nVidia drivers on XP don't support the unusual memory configuration of that card (900MB). If you ran the game at as 1280x1024 I think it would work.
Great thanks for the tip. Probably explains why I nev
Nice. Any word on getting this (https://forums.elementalgame.com/391302) fixed? Makes the game completely unplayable for some of us.
So, how much modability of the UI is there in elemental? Because this is not an isolated complaint.
Apparently all that can be done at the moment is graphical changes (to existing content)... I have no idea to what extent. Creating brand new elements are not possible atm - they probably depend upon Python support - no idea how much of the game will be moddable in the end. Hopefully everything (a dreamer's dr

I'm curious if developers have had a chance to check out this thread or not - I know they're busy making preparations and all for the "official" release but I truely believe the points made here will help improve the game (and I'd like to think that I didn't stay up to 4:30am for nothing).
