I'll rate the games out of 10 rather than by assigning grades (perhaps a bit more clear?). I also haven't played Civ V (yet?) so I've substituted it with Supreme Commander 2, Sword of the Stars (Complete) and Galactic Civilizations II Twilight. Release: Elemental: 4/10 Starcraft 2: 8.5/10 Fallout New Vegas: 8/10 Supreme Commander 2: n/a, bought recently. Sword of the Stars: n/a, bought recently.</li

My game has not crashed since 1.1 honestly.
I'm less concerned with the memory issues, and more concerned with content and fun factor. It only crashes occasionally for me anymore, and that really doesn't bother me that much. I just have no reason to play it. Heroes are boring, they are all generic and interchangeable as their stats and abilities mean nothing compared to the gear they are wearing. Quest haven't changed. Factions are still bland. 10 ra
DRM in general has little to nothing to do with piracy, however that doesn't stop Publishers from claiming that's what it's for. The moment the game hits the net - even in a near-but-not-quite-final-state - it becomes the subject of piracy. Do you really think the developers who toiled away on this game are going to care what word you use to describe it? People are going to download - in particular, pirating crews - for both t
It's hard to remain positive about the future of PC Gaming - that doesn't involve Facebook, I mean. Crysis 2, complete with the DRM Master Files for Online Authentication, have been leaked some 48 days early. Check out the news article here. I suspect things like this are the reason why most developers now focus on Consoles, where Piracy - while still present - represents a much smaller problems.
Please pile on some more fe

Since my quest is completely unreadable in that popup, I'd suggest reading the full quest here for those that are interested.

Hey thanks for all the suggestions (quite a few good ones), I'll check them out over the coming days.
Wow, thanks for choosing my quest Derek :D And congrats to all the others as well. I particularly like the Rod of Mages quest by Sungod79. As for Till Deaths Do Us Part , I kind of went crazy writing a bunch of text for the quest, but then got squashed by the 5000 character limit of the submission. For those inte
I've actually played Borderlands before but didn't list it cause I consider it to be more arcadey than what I'm looking for. @Kodiak, I haven't actually played any of the Stalker games with mods before. What would you recommend? In general, there is two things about the Stalker games that rub me the wrong way: 1) lack of coherent organization of quest and quest related information and 2) a general "roughness" in the GUI and how the game is presented.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me a shooter (preferably FPS, but 3rd person is fine too) for the PC that's no older than 5 or 6 years really. I'm looking for something that is mainly urban, where there is great interaction between weapons and the environment. Such as shooting through glass and wood at enemies, spraying up sparks and rubble and debris when bullets miss their marks and strike nearby surfaces. Basically a game where the guns feel very satisfying to shoot.
3d graphics are also a huge consideration. I often wonder if the move to 3d was good or bad for gaming. I don't know the real numbers but I expect that an artist could make 25-50 2d monsters in the time it takes to create 1 3d monster. Talk about implementation considerations from design decisions, the decision to go to 3d is a huge one.
I often think that 3D is actually more efficient than 2D (pro
