#2 there is an option in the options to disable autoturns ending when units are out of moves. Some of your other complaints are supposed to be addressed in tomorrows day 0 patch.

The defence might seem random but theres multiple factors in there like body armors protect more vs cutting weapons, and head armors vs crushing weapons, I think shields vs Piercing. Its kinda like the old gal civ armor/shields/flak vs Mass drivers/Lasers/Missles really. though I haven't played enough to figure out all the interactions there yet. (and some of its based off of snippets of what Brad said before)

/shrug I made the caravan just to link the cities to move troops faster from my main city since it had a higher pop..that and to just do it. Since it was done before I got my 25 crystals I had assumed it was part of it.

Build your mine on the crystals, make a caravan, send caravan to his city, wait 25 turns while you mine 1 crystal per turn, profit.

Well tomorrow the day 0 ai is in and its "supposed" to be what we all first saw. So maybe its better, Brad wrote pretty good ai for Gal Civ 2 overall, so this should be pretty nice.

If you start over with the Interim patch its probably better. I am debating it. The campaign is mainly meant to be a tutorial, so I am not sure I want to redo 3 hours of stuff, (though Ibet I can blaze through those parts now) just to see the "significant" improvements frog spoke of in the interim patch...then again maybe I will just to see...

I think its typical pc stuff due to all the various hardware configs. My copy runs flawlessly at 1920x1080 max everything so I dunno. Though mine is defiantly not a low end rig either, I would say just under enthusiast class machine maybe...or close to it.

Book 2 is the next chapter coming out soon, its only available if you buy the Book Elemental: Destiny's Embers though. There is a registration code in the books. The tutorial, erm campaign is really mainly just an entertaining way to teach you the basics of the game.

Quit bitching, if you want true random maps you can delete/move the seeds in the folder and get fully random maps. But Dont complain if they are not balanced in any way shape or form.

I like it quit a bit so far. I am only playing the campaign and only got to play for about an hour and a half. I'm off to bed cause I have a meeting in 7 hours.
