your notifications on the right hand side of screen tells you when buildings finish...that should be some indicator.

my only grip I am starting to have is having Civs die out trying to take out a minor civ. Their sov dies and they die...I play to have fun but that particular bug is starting to irk me a little. I play on Large worlds and only 150 turns into the game Kraxis has died to a minor kingdom. Tarth has died to Monsters and ruffians somehow, and Capitar died in a "war" it didn't even say who or how they got killed. So far I haven't met anyone but one minor civ. I think all the ones that were near me
Has anyone else noticed that after playing the game for a while that the Enter key no longer works to "end turn"? This seems to have persisted over the last several updates. I then have to save, quit, and reload the game to get the enter key to work again.
yes, but there is an easy fix. Whenever you enter key stops working, (also means you keyboard stops working period actually) pick a city any city and open you Build menu for build
My guess is it's your notoriety gain. According to the manual you are supposed to earn fame based on your exploits. The higher your level of fame (good or bad) the higher level wife you can acquire and the stronger the offspring from your dynasty. There's no account of this in game anywhere that I can find though.
Some people won't marry you if your reputation isn't to their liking. I know that each game and player will be different, but I'd certainly be interested in watchng a couple just to see how things progress, and get a feel for the overall process. I've seen a few that FrogBoy did, but they didn;t really cover a full game, and they really didn;t explain why he (they)

I tend to explore and expand at least 1-3 extra cities in advantageous areas. My current game that I am gonna finish up tomorrow after work saw me in a crappy spot. (still is crappy actually) I started with only a food source near by. Went ahead and settled in anyways cause I was surrounded by mountains. Lowered some land and made my way out. Turns out the way I went landed me 2 tech buildings next to each other. So I settled there a few turns later. Another 30-40 turns of explo

I won a signed copy today from a contest at Bigdownload. :) Can't wait for it to arrive. I am almost out of Star Wars books to read so this will make a good new one to start on.

3 of the 4 game winning conditions can be done without fighting the ai (edit: I mean the nations) in a single battle. How much more "peace" do you want? Seriously dude, did you even think that out for a minute? And the summoning books were removed from the "starting books" you still get access to them by researching magic. So you could easily pop down a few lvls in magic first to get your summons.

So if any of the other 4 are forum goers they can chime in too. /shrug back to playing my game now. *edit: to the rest thanks for the congrats. Its kinda cool to win even something small like this. I don't usually enter contests cause your chance of winning are so small.

have you patched up to 1.05.16? I know you could have Nuts things when breeding with the Snathi drake leader, but 1.05 removed him to stop that.

Fine I will be nice. Here is how it works. Standing in the city seems to be bugged and you aren't getting numbers back, standing in the control zone and healing gets numbers back...see? (I don't believe it will work if you let them heal to full in the city first never tried it)
Yeah, I would rather see 0 damage vs a 'miss' so I know to utilize a different spell or save mana. It is extremely frustrating to watch my Champions swing and miss 10-20 times in a row only to realize that while over powering the foe in Combat Rating, I have no shot at winning the battle.
Well you can compare your attack numbers vs their defence numbers that gives you a rough estimate of how you are gonna do.
