Just so you know your grandchildren can and sometimes will decide to join your faction instead of their parents one. So they took this into account already. Same for when you have grandkids with that female who came to your side. Those babies grow up and some might side with you or with their other grandparents faction.

I wonder if thats why Umber seems to be the most powerful enemy AI in every game I play. They are often power rated 800 when I am in the 400's. (I still beat them in tactical combat since doesn't matter if you are rated 1,000 since you can only take one army against me at a time)
Thats cause you can get an "archer" from 3 different tech approaches. That being said. You can just disable the design when they come up. It a minor thing at worst.
I would like to see the sovereign death mechanic be integrated into the dynasty system. Then it would be relevant who was first in line to the throne etc. Currently that part is just an abstract concept.
Like Sagittary said you get bonus hp for being in city. This represents how much harder it is to root entrenched armies out of their dependable position of home turf.
Use heavenfalls bug fix mod. Its in the Mods section, and all it does is modifiy the xml to fix tool tips, things like the warrior temple, and it makes the shards work for spells. I would classify it as a must have mod. (edit it doesnt fix the debt thing but it does fix the warriors temple to work properly)
Brads taking off to just work on the ai while the rest of the team works on other stuff.
It's stupid to dismiss independent game reviewers just because they don't have as many reviews as professional game sites.
You assume quit a bit about what I think. You don't have the reasoning skills to manage that so stop trying. Its also stupid to put too much stock in someones first review ever on a brand new site with no history. appreciate the bug fixes, this is something I always liked about the 4x community. I used to use the civ 4 unofficial bug fixes too. :D
Well since you can obviously program superior AI why don't you get to cracking sparky?
Lets see your Dxdiag, see how "high end" your system is, we might even catch some obvious driver errors that might be causing issues.
Dunno I am running an i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz, 6 gigs of ram and dual ati 5770's in xfire, with a 5 year old Audigy LE (never bought a new sound card since this baby still does the job) and mine runs perfectly. Though my machine is running XP. (so not using all that triple channel ram at all to begin with) Edited in cpu speed, and sound card. Which makes me wonder now that I think about it, perhaps the people with slow games are running integrated audio? I know its supposed t
Again though remember a review is only an opinion and we ALL have different opinions. This is why I never take much stock in reviews. Now if alot of reviews give something a SUPER low score I will approach with caution, but at the same time there have been a few games that places like IGN gave 6's or 7's that I found to be enjoyable and worth the money to play through.
except he doesnt have an awesome rig.
Also if you didn't realize it you need a population of 1,250 to reach level 5.
i had no idea for a long time that defense came into the equation at all. i don't like the fact as it seems completely unintuitive. leather armour does not stop lightning bolts. i think magic should be undefendable and do what it says on the tin (this is what happens in dnd). then give magic resistance to some higher level creatures, special magic items for units, and as a buff that channellers can cast. wierd I do 9 civ larges and the current one I have just meet my first ai civ. almost 300 turns into game. Though 1 suicided on a minor city (kraxis), one died to wandering monsters (Tarth), and the other one it notified me had died had a vague wierd description so I dont know what killed Capitar.

I don't think you want to listen to reason, so I will just leave it alone. I said I never would have bought it if it was intended to be driven by player-created content. Which it's not, since Brad is already mentioning if/when the time is right for paid expansions. If that's being unreasonable, the bar
Interesting, I never auto resolve so never saw this.
some brief pointers while I am browsing forum from work. First squads are super important in this game. I prefer to research my civilization to grab great mill, then squads, then armor, then weapons, then I usually get the first adventure resource tech, followed by some more Civilization tech, from there it varies on what I do. secondly I find that taking my hero out and smashing monsters for xp adn gold while exploring works very well. I usually Imbue Janusk first thing and h
nope. On the bright side you get to start fresh. :D
